preservation of Africa’s great wilderness and incredible range of animal species.
Tanzania was recently voted the best safari country in Africa by both international visitors and by specialised safari operators. Even more recently, and after a four year worldwide search, it now
also boasts the top three ‘Natural Wonders of Africa’. The Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro and the Ngorongoro Crater outvoting the River Nile, the Red Sea Reef, the Sahara Desert and Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Tanzania has also been named as one of the world’s top five
‘most stunningly beautiful countries’ by Fox TV News. The country’s 16 national parks, which protect more than 25% of its land, are home to 20% of the African continent’s larger mammals so it is little wonder game viewing experiences are the best in Africa.

Serengeti National Park, one of the most well-known of all wildlife areas, attracts thousands of visitors each year for the annual wildebeest migration, and Ngorongoro crater – often called the 8th Natural Wonder of the World – is a must see for it’s sheer beauty. Deep within the ancient caldera, herds of gazelle roam beside sated lions, and endangered black rhino and elusive cheetah can be spotted through the early morning mist. Still, the big-name parks aren’t all the country has to offer. The elephants of Tarangire National Park and the treeclimbing lions of Lake Manyara also reward the discerning traveler. The Saadani Game Reserve, famed for its views of elephant playing in the Indian Ocean surf, is just one of many lesser-known national parks that offer equally rewarding experiences for guests willing to wander off the beaten track.

Tanzania has a wealth of diverse groups that make up it’s national community. Huntergatherer groups and Maasai herders coexist in the Northern wilderness, and lesser know communities like the Wadorobo and the Iraqw also make up the collage of the country. Cultural tourism has become a popular choice for many visitors to Tanzania, with different programmes and itineraries on offer around the country.
From day-hikes on the slopes of Mt Meru to honey collecting in the Usambaras, discovering local culture is a highlight for any visitor to Africa.

But the magic of safari isn’t all this great country has to offer. Tropical beaches, coral reefs and Swahili culture along the Indian Ocean coast are also a major attraction for visitors who want to end their experience of Africa’s natural wonders with some well-earned relaxation.
For the more intrepid adventurers, a climb to the rooftop of Africa, Mt Kilimanjaro, is the highlight of a safari itinerary. Longer treks through the Ngorongoro Conservation area, through the magical Gol Mountains, up the active volcano of Ol Donyo Lengai or down Lake Tanganyika are a fantastic way to experience less-visited parts of the country in a new way.
So welcome to Tanzania –experience the warmth of our people, the magic of our wilderness, and the splendor of our wildlife.
Karibu Tanzania – the Soul of Africa

When the wet season ends, the animals begin their migration back towards the river and spend the dry season July to October, concentrated in large numbers around the river.

What distinguishes travelling around Tanzania with Foxes Safari Camps is our family-owned and -managed airline, Safari Air Link. With a fleet of five Cessna 208 Caravans, each of which can accommodate up to 13 passengers, we are renowned for our expert crew who have extensive experience flying to remote bush airstrips.
With Safari Air Link, you can travel between Tanzania’s southern, western and northern safari circuits, as well as the coastal circuit should you wish to stay at a private island retreat. With the flexibility of dynamic scheduling with our private aircraft fleet, travellers can expect a hassle-free journey across Tanzania.
This makes planning your tailor made journey across southern Tanzania that much easier and more convenient, so that you can spend more time on safari, rather than on the road travelling between lodges and national parks. Book your flight and leave the rest up to us!
Our extensive network of routes not only connects major tourist hubs across Tanzania –such as Dar es Salaam with Zanzibar and Mafia Island –but also reaches far-flung regions that would otherwise require more time and effort to reach. Katavi National Park in southwestern Tanzania, for example, boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the country per kilometre squared. And with only three permanent lodges in the park, there are only ever a handful of travellers here at any given time. Meaning
you have unbeatable wildlife sightings almost all to yourself.
As with our other operations, Foxes Safari Camps has been committed to responsible tourism from the very beginning and also in everything that we do. Not only does Safari Air Link have a fuel-efficient fleet of aircraft, but our ongoing carbon offset programme has our family business plant over 3 million trees to make us a carbonnegative airline.
Every effort is made to ensure that the flight is as comfortable as possible. A guide or lodge representative will meet you and drop you off from your flight, pre checking flight times and transferring luggage.
The option for sole use of our aircraft and direct return flights, allows Safari Air Link to curate personalised itineraries across Tanzania no matter your bucket list.
The safety of our passengers is of utmost importance to us. All Safari Air Link planes are maintained to the highest standards and all our pilots are highly competent and
confident with handling the varied terrain of airstrips across Tanzania. Our aim is for the flight to be a highlight of your safari.
The Cessna Grand Caravan’s ability to land on gravel airstrips makes it the sole viable option for emergency evacuations from rural and remote areas across Tanzania. The aircraft’s spacious cabin can accommodate a medevac stretcher, medical equipment, medical professionals and family members. Safari Air Link also operates a Citation Mustang jet to fly patients to medical facilities outside Tanzania if needed.
Find Safari Air Link’s latest flight schedule and fares on our website www.flysal.com, contact us on: +255 777 723 274 and +255 783 397 235 or via email on flights@flysal. com to plan your African safari.

The upcoming event is expected to redefine the country’s trade fair landscape, strengthening Tanzania’s position as a regional hub for commerce, innovation and investment.
The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has officially launched preparatory activities for the Golden Jubilee Night, scheduled for July 6, as part of the climax of the broader Sabasaba 2026 celebrations.
Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, Mr Dennis Londo, underscored the strategic importance of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, noting that they represent far more than a ceremonial milestone.
“This sabasaba 2026 is a powerful national statement of economic progress, industrial transformation, and regional integration,” he said.
Dar Es Salaam is set to witness a landmark moment in trade and investment as preparations intensify for the Sabasaba 2026 Golden Jubilee Night, marking 50 years of the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF).
Mr Londo said that the 2026 exhibition will serve as a dynamic platform showcasing the country’s expanding industrial base, innovative technologies, and diverse range of products and services. He further highlighted that the event will enhance economic diplomacy and deepen Tanzania’s engagement within East and Central African markets, while creating new opportunities for trade partnerships and foreign investment.
Tantrade Director General Dr Latifa Khamis, said that the 50th DITF is not only a national pride event but also a shared national asset that reflects the unity and ambition of Tanzanians. She stressed that the exhibition continues to play a critical role in connecting local entrepreneurs with global markets, while promoting the country as an attractive destination for investment and business expansion.
key highlight of the celebrations will be the golden jubilee night, which is expected to offer a blend of high-level entertainment, advanced exhibition showcases, and recognition of key stakeholders who have contributed to the success of sabasaba over the past five decades.
“The event is designed to celebrate both the historical journey and future aspirations of our trade ecosystem,” she said. “This night is a symbolic platform that brings together commerce, investment, technology, and creativity under one roof.
Beyond entertainment, it is expected to serve as a strategic networking space for business leaders, investors, and policymakers, reinforcing collaboration across sectors. The 50th DITF will run from June 28 to July 13, 2026, and is expected to attract thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across Africa and beyond.
As preparations intensify, stakeholders have expressed optimism that the 50th DITF will not only commemorate five decades of success but also set a new benchmark for trade exhibitions in Africa. The golden jubilee night, in particular, is anticipated to stand out as a defining moment celebrating history while opening a new chapter of opportunity, innovation, and sustainable economic growth for Tanzania.

Women in Management Africa (WIMA) marked a significant milestone in recognizing and celebrating outstanding women leaders through the successful hosting of the WIMA Awards 2026, held on 25 April 2026 at Johari Rotana in Dar es Salaam.
Held under the theme “Legacy, Leadership and Lasting Impact,” the awards brought together distinguished leaders from across Africa and beyond to honor exceptional women who continued to excel in their careers, businesses, and communities, while inspiring the next generation of leaders.
Since its inception, WIMA has remained steadfast in its commitment to addressing the visibility and representation gap of women in senior leadership. The organization has consistently worked to elevate and position more women into leadership roles across various sectors.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Women in Management Africa (WIMA), Dr. Naike Moshi, emphasized that the initiative

was established to foster recognition, confidence, and opportunity for women in leadership.
“The vision of WIMA has always been to create a platform that not only recognizes excellence but also builds confidence, visibility, and opportunity for women in leadership. Through our initiatives, we continue to challenge barriers and inspire more women to step into positions of influence,” she stated.

The WIMA Awards aimed to celebrate top-performing women and the organizations that supported gender inclusion and leadership advancement. The awards recognized excellence in leadership, innovation, vision, and impact across multiple sectors of the economy, from SMEs to large corporations.
Over the years, WIMA had also built a growing network and database of accomplished women professionals, contributing to increased representation in boardrooms, executive leadership, and decision-making spaces across Africa.

The 2026 edition featured a dynamic range of award categories, including recognition for emerging leaders, industry pioneers, gender equality champions, and lifetime achievers, reflecting the diversity and impact of women’s leadership across the continent.
The awards ceremony brought together an exclusive audience of high-level stakeholders, including government officials, corporate leaders, development partners, diplomatic representatives, and

inclusive leadership.
As WIMA continued to expand its footprint as a Pan-African platform, the 2026 Awards reaffirmed its role as one of the continent’s most prestigious and respected recognitions of women in leadership.

Exim Bank Tanzania has launched its Exim WhatsApp Banking service, a new digital solution designed to make everyday banking faster, simpler and more accessible through one of the world’s most widely used communication platforms.
The service allows customers to access a full range of banking services directly within WhatsApp, including balance inquiries, transfers, send to mobile, scan to merchant, GePG payments, and cardrelated services, all without the need to download additional
applications or visit a bank branch.
The launch marks a significant milestone in Exim Bank Tanzania’s continued commitment to delivering innovative, customercentric digital solutions that align with evolving customer lifestyles and preferences. With over 20 million WhatsApp users in Tanzania, the platform meets customers where they already are, transforming a daily communication tool into a comprehensive banking channel.
Speaking during the launch, Head of Alternative Channels and Digital Transformation at Exim Bank Tanzania Silas Matoi said the service was designed around simplicity and convenience for customers.
“Customers today want banking that fits naturally into their everyday lives. With Exim WhatsApp Banking, customers
can now check their balance, send money to mobile wallets, scan to pay, pay GePG bills, access card services, and complete other transactions directly within WhatsApp. It removes the need to switch between apps or navigate complicated systems because now all your everyday banking services are available in one familiar place,” said Matoi.
On other hand, Matoi highlighted the strength of the platform’s technology and security framework.
“We have built this solution with both convenience and security at the forefront. Customers can confidently perform transactions knowing every interaction is protected through secure authentication processes including PIN verification. At the same time, the experience remains simple, responsive and easy to use because the goal

was to make digital banking feel natural and accessible to every customer,” said Matoi.
The Exim WhatsApp Banking platform has been designed with simplicity, speed and security at its core, enabling customers to interact with the bank in a conversational, stepby-step format that mirrors natural messaging behavior while maintaining high security standards.
Speaking on the broader significance of the launch, Exim Bank’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, Kauthar D’Souza said, the introduction of Exim WhatsApp Banking reflects the bank’s continued focus on meeting customers where they already are, rather than asking them to adapt to banking.
“Our customers are already
using WhatsApp every day — to communicate with family, run businesses, coordinate with colleagues, and manage their daily lives. By bringing banking into that same space, we are removing friction and making financial services genuinely accessible. You shouldn’t have to learn a new system or download another app just to check your balance or pay a bill. Banking should work the way you work, not the other way around, “said Kauthar.
“This launch is part of our broader commitment to continuous innovation that’s driven by real customer needs, not just technology for technology’s sake. We listen to how our customers live, we understand the tools they already trust, and we build solutions that fit naturally into those habits. Exim WhatsApp Banking isn’t just a new channel — it’s a statement about the
kind of bank we are: one that evolves alongside our customers, anticipates their needs, and makes their financial lives simpler every day.” Kauthar added.
Customers can access the service by initiating a chat with the official Exim Bank Tanzania WhatsApp number [+255 675 800 100], where they will be guided through a simple registration process, including PIN setup, before accessing available services.
The service is available to all existing Exim Bank Tanzania customers immediately. The bank plans to expand the service to include additional features such as loan applications and investment services as part of its ongoing digital transformation roadmap.
