Let nature inspire you

With raised, beautifully decorated permanent tents placed far enough apart to ensure privacy, Lake Masek Tented Camp offers guests stylish accommodation in the African bush. Its position in the Ndutu area of Ngorongoro, just south of the Serengeti, is on the annual Great Migration route of millions of wildebeest, zebra and antelope, followed closely by predators. Enjoy lovely views of Lake Masek while watching the sunset over the Ndutu plains.

From the private terrace of your tent, you can observe the wildlife of the area. Many animals visit the lake in search of water and therefore this camp is a privileged observation point. Besides, this area is the principal setting of the Great Migration which takes place from December to April and the Big Five visit the area. The camp is set-up every year in a different part of the area, to make sure that you will always have the best place to see this impressive spectacle from your own tent. In addition, the camp is ecological without losing comfort and attention. The electricity is generated by solar panels and the water is rain water collected during the rains. All the products used are biodegradables. Elegant tents built on raised wood platforms with en-suite facilities and an outside shower. After a day on safari guests can enjoy a refreshing shower under the stars. Each tent has its own private terrace where guests can enjoy the landscape and the surroundings. The family tent consists of two interconnected tents and a shared bathroom and private porch.
The following activities you can witness in your stay; · Hot Air Balloon: Start the day on a high note by soaring above the plains in a hot-air balloon. As the sun rises, watch the herds of elephants from above and admire the unspoilt landscape. Hot-air balloon rides are at an additional cost and are weather dependent.
The flight length varies between 50 to 90 minutes, all depending
on the weather conditions. Bush breakfast after landing. · Visit to ethnic groups: In Tanzania live a great diversity of tribes and ethnic groups of great interest.
Tribes such as Hadzabe, Datoga,
Masai, Wairak and other tribes can be visited from Tanganyika properties. The activity consists in visiting the local ethnic group to learn about their traditions and way of living. · Cultural visit: At any of our
Tanganyika Wilderness Camps we have a strong bond with the local communities. And we are happy to share our ties with your guests should they be interested.
