DARLEY SELF TESTING SYSTEM PRE-PAC SKID RESIDENTIAL NFPA 13D FIRE PUMP SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN This specification covers the manufacturing and supplying 1 (qty.) packaged residential NFPA 13D fire pump system including a 304 Stainless Steel Vertical Inline pump complete with motor, self-testing AND self-calibrating controller, and accessories as outlined. The contractor shall provide and install a DARLEY SELF TEST SYSTEM MODEL #_____ ________. THE PACKAGE MANUFACTURE MUST HAVE PUMP AND CONTROLLER EXPERIENCE. THE SUPPLIED PACKAGE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO SELF CALIBRATE AND PERFORM AUTOMATIC SELF-TEST TO EXISTING SPRINKLER SYSTEM, NO EXCEPTIONS. The automatic test must include an automatic pump start test based on an automatic drop in pressure start. Any test that requires any type of human intervention shall not be considered adequate. Bringing the supplied equipment up to the standards of this specification will rest solely on the equipment supplier. More information about a Darley Self Testing System is available from W.S. Pump shut off pressure shall NOT exceed ______PSI PUMP: The pump shall be a STAINLESS STEEL VERTICAL INLINE PUMP with; cartridge type mechanical seal, cast iron suction and discharge chambers, with stainless steel impeller(s), shaft, and wet parts. Designed for ______ GPM at a discharge pressure of______ PSI. Pump shall be complete with vertical totally enclosed fan cooled motor rated for _____ HP, 1 Phase, 60 Cycle, 230 volt operation, NO EXCEPTIONS

MOTOR: The motor shall be totally enclosed fan cooled with overload protection. It shall also have a service factor of 1.15 and a locked rotor current code letter of G or less. CONTROLLER: The Controller shall be SELF TESTING and SELF CALIBRATING with built in suction and discharge pressure transducers. Controller shall be designed to automatically perform a self-test and calibrate to existing residential sprinkler system with the touch of a single button. Controller shall require NO manual settings. Controller shall be capable of acting as a “jockey pump” without operating the pump run remote contacts and recharge the sprinkler system in the event of a slow drop in pressure. Controller shall operate the test solenoid without conducting a system test to provide fresh water into seal chamber in the event pump is running under recovered
