Only the chance to explore imagination, exercise creativity, and discover a little more about oneself and the world around.

Dare to Dream offers a safe and caring environment for all children, whether healthy or at-risk, socially adept or challenged, to develop their imagination and creativity by learning fun theatre skills, making new friends and working together to perform for family and friends.

DIRECTOR,S NOTE

“Who am I?” and “What Is my place or purpose in this world?” are questions that every single one of us - no matter how old or young - ask several times throughout our lives.

One of the things I love about Theater is that it provides a wonderful canvas on which we - as artists and audience members - can explore tough topics in a fun and entertaining way. Today we explore the question of purpose and core identity with four young people branded by the reputations of their parents.

When you look at this story, it could be a surface level dance between good and bad, but if you dig a little deeper you will discover that each of our four protagonists struggle with the age old desire to please others while also being true to themselves - a dance we’ve all dealt with at some point in our lives.

Over the past two months, these young performers have been challenged to grow both as performers - by learning difficult music and dance - and also as individuals - as they dealt with the challenges that come from going outside their comfort zones and doing difficult things. I look at what they have accomplished out there on the stage, and am immensely proud of their hard work. They have risen to the challenges beautifully!

If you enjoy what you see today, we invite you to join us! Check out our website to find out how you can become involved, onstage, offstage, in a class or workshop, or as a sponsor or donor.

We hope you will share your experience with your friends and family after the production and look forward to seeing you again soon!
