Dare to Dream is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to giving youth and their families opportunities to learn, play, discover and grow through theatre. Programs are designed by formally trained and educated theater professionals to create nurturing opportunities for personal growth and stimulate creative thinking. Here, all children are equal and free to explore. There are no wrong answers, or unhealthy competition. Only the chance to explore imagination, exercise creativity, and discover a little more about oneself and the world around.
Dare to Dream offers a safe and caring environment for all children, whether healthy or at-risk, socially adept or challenged, to develop their imagination and creativity by learning fun theatre skills, making new friends and working together to perform for family and friends.
A child’s dreams are the foundation of her or his future life. We invite you to help the children of our community to dare to dream.
Please help more children realize the dreamers within themselves. Donate online at www.DareToDreamTheatre.org or mail your check to Dare to Dream Theatre, P.O. Box 482, Sheboygan, WI 53082-0482
It is with fond memories I welcome you to the theater today. In 2009 - the early years of Dare to Dream Theatre - Aladdin JR was the first Broadway Junior Musical we presented. It was a whole new world of adventure for usand still is!
Although much has changed since then, one thing remains the same: Our mission to bring joy through Theater. I am forever grateful and incredibly proud of the families, performers, and audiences that have joined us on this adventure over the years - and will continue to do so for many more years!
Today I see the dream from over 25 years ago growing strong because of all of you. It’s been fun taking a trip down memory lane while at the same time building the future of theater along the Lakeshore in Wisconsin. The performers that you see on stage this weekend are sure to grace many more stages over the next few years - the future of theater in the area is certainly bright!
If you enjoy what you see today, we invite you to come back and check out a KIDS cast performance - a completely different 40 minute telling of the tale based on the animated movie.
Want to join us? Check out our website (www.daretodreamtheatre.org) to become involved, onstage, offstage, in a class or workshop, or as a sponsor or donor.
We hope you will share your experience with your friends and family after the production and look forward to seeing you again soon!
