SUSAN CHAPLINSKY: A CHAMPION OF EDUCATION Susan was a passionate and dedicated educator who spent her career inspiring students to reach their full potential. A thought leader in private capital markets, she was known for her deep understanding of the industry and commitment to helping others succeed. Her influence on the Darden community was nothing less than profound, earning her wide recognition and numerous awards for her teaching and research in finance, including popular courses such as "Corporate Financing," "Entrepreneurial Finance and Private Equity" and "Hot Topics in Finance." "You look up great teacher, you look up Darden in the dictionary, you see her picture standing right there. She was that complete person that typifies Darden — not only a great teacher but also a great researcher, a great case writer, and a great servant leader," said Darden Dean Scott Beardsley. HONORING HER LEGACY Now, it is time to honor her legacy and continue her lifelong work by establishing a fund in her name that will support future leaders' ongoing development and success in the field.
