reetings and Welcome to the 2nd Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo. This years Expo is dedicated to Caregivers, First Responders and Essential Workers who got us “ALL” through the 2020 COVID19 pandemic. We also want to recognize and remember all of the many lives’ that were loss due to the pandemic. COVID19 changed all of our lives, however what did not change was the need for Caregivers, First Responders and Essential workers! What I personally learned and experienced during 2020 was that I needed to slow down and take a break from working so hard. I also learned how important it is to listen to medical professionals that know the science and who taught me how to better protect myself, my family and all those around me. It is critical that we take care of ourselves and one another. Our individual actions “good or bad” can affect the wellbeing of millions of people everywhere. The Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo provides a much-needed break, important information and resources and a shared community of Caregivers, First Responders and Essential Workers to help and care for one another. Today, we take Time Out to slow down, relax, refresh, rejuvenate, fellowship and receive important information to help us manage our daily lives. We ask that you Support all the Sponsors, Exhibitors and Vendors by visiting their booths, participating in the pampering room, the get fit and healthy room, and the lunch and learn sessions offered here today. I am also excited to announce that our goal to expand the Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo across the United States will kick off in 2022 with the East Tampa Business & Civic Association in Tampa, Florida. We also look forward to hosting Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo’s in Cincinnati and Toledo, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, New York City and Los Angeles, California in 2023 and beyond. We Invite everyone to join us in helping to bring the Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo to Caregivers, First Responders and Essential Workers all across our great nation. We ask that you remember the words of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter who says it best with her famous quote, “There are only four kinds of people in the world - those who have been caregivers, those who currently are caregivers, those who will be caregivers and those who will need caregivers.” Lastly, I offer my heartfelt “Thanks” to my Family, our host The Ohio Sickle Cell and Health Association, our sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and staff, Caregivers, First Responders and Essential Workers for your help, assistance and support in hosting the 2nd Annual Caring for the Caregiver Expo. We give all Glory and Honor to God and we wish each of you Miracles and Blessings! Brenda D. Spencer, Event Creator and Chair President & CEO, Spencer 4Higher Media, LLC
