Sustainability in focus
For us, sustainability isn’t just a goal – it’s an integral part of how we think, design, and produce.
Our products are nearly 100% recyclable, and our design ensure long life and minimal environmental impact.
When a product is built to last, it reduces the need for replacements – and in turn, reduces overall resource consumption.
In addition, we closely monitor our resource use and are actively seeking out new, more sustainable and recyclable materials to incorporate into our products.
All our packaging and wooden products are FSC certified, meaning they come from responsibly managed forests that respect nature, wildlife, and local communities.
We’re also highly conscious of the energy we consume. Our entire operation – including production, warehousing, and administration –runs exclusively on certified green electricity.

Dantoy supports UN’s 17 goals
We are committed to developing Dantoy in alignment with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Dantoy supports the UN’s 17 goals through various initiatives. These include setting environmental requirements for suppliers to meet Swan certification standards, making donations, purchasing green power, and more.
Dantoy selects a few of the UN’s 17 goals to focus on for a period of time before shifting attention to new goals. We are currently mainly focusing on goals 12, 13, and 17.
At Dantoy, we ensure a responsible production process by manufacturing our plastic toys in-house at our factory in Denmark.
Dantoy demands responsibility from suppliers regarding production and environmental standards.
We focus on reducing packaging, sorting, and reusing materials.
We use 100% certified green electricity.
We are increasing the amount of recycling in packaging — both cardboard and plastics.
We are increasing the utilization of our production waste.

The Classic series has a history that goes back 60 years. With its colorful products, it captures children's attention and encourages play and creativity. The series is popular, durable, and strong, and all products are Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified and made in Denmark, meeting the high standards for safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
Our Pastel Line is made from recycled material and is certifed with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. The light-colored recycled plastic used in this line is collected in a closed loop, where it is cleaned and processed. Making it possible to create a recycled line in delicate pastel colors.
This series celebrates the beauty of the ocean. The collection is made from recycled plastic sourced from fishing and maritime industries. Each toy is unique – the tones and colours vary depending on the materials collected. It's environmentally friendly and made with care for our shared future.
Our wooden toys are designed to imaginative play and to care for the planet. All wood is FSC-certified and sourced from responsibly managed forests that protect nature, wildlife, and people. Durable, timeless, and made with care for a greener future and the joy of play for generations to come.
You can make a conscious choice. We reuse the factory's own waste in our production, helping us reduce waste and minimize our impact on the climate. By utilizing surplus materials, we create unique products where no two are exactly alike – colors and expressions depend on what’s in the machines on any given day. In this way, we turn waste into value and take active responsibility for the environment.
Tiny by Dantoy is a series developed for the youngest children, focusing on activities that stimulate motor skills, vision, and the sense of touch. The series can be used both indoors and outdoors and includes, among other things, dining sets. Several of the products are made from bioplastic, and most of the series are Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified, produced in Denmark, and approved for contact with food.
The products in the Green Garden line motivate children to play outdoors, where they can explore nature, imitate adults, and even grow their own vegetables. Through role play, children have the opportunity to learn, develop, and create their own experiences. Made in Denmark and Nordic Swan Ecolabeled.

The beautiful BIO plast line is made from sugarcane. This collection contains more than 90% bio-based content and is 100% recyclable. The toys in the dantoy Bio line are designed in subtle shades with light tones and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor play.
The Fairytales line is created for both girls and boys and comes in bright pink and blue colors. It invites magical moments filled with creativity and role play – whether in an imaginative world at home or on a fun trip to the beach.
Our Classic line has been made environmentally conscious with a focus on recycling and care for the environment. The products still feature the familiar Classic colors, but with a more matte surface – while offering the same great play experience.

Bioplastic toy, made of at least 90% sugarcane, a sustainable raw material. Our bioplastic is 100% recyclable. dantoy BIO products are of the same high quality as our conventional plastic toys.
FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an international organization that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests.
The Braskem “I’m Green” symbol may only be used if the amount of sustainable raw materials contained in the product has been verified. “I’m Green” PE (bioplastic) is made of at least 90% sugarcane (ethanol). Ethanol, a form of alcohol, is extracted from sugarcane, after which it is used to make bioplastic.
Plastic toys that carry the Nordic Swan Ecolabel comply with one of the world’s most stringent environmental certifications. Ecolabelled products may not contain phthalates, synthetic fragrances or endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs). To qualify for eco-labelling, the entire life cycle of the product, from raw material to production, use, disposal and recycling, is assessed.
99% of dantoy’s plastic toys are both designed and manufactured in-house at our office and
factory in Hobro, Denmark.
All dantoy toy products comply with the European EN71 standard, and our products therefore meet the safety requirements for toys sold in the EU. Our child use and care articles, cutlery, drinking and feeding utensils are certified in accordance with EN14372 and EN14350
dantoy is certified to environmental standard ISO 14001, which means that via environmental focus, the company aims to minimise harmful environmental impacts by using sustainable processes, minimising consumption of energy, water and raw materials, recycling spillage and waste, and maintaining a healthy working environment.
dantoy is certified to quality standard ISO 9001, which obliges us to observe high standards, including uniform quality, product safety, quality control and assurance (taking random samples and testing), as well as written procedures that ensure that our production processes are standardised.
All dantoy toy products carry the CE mark, a key indicator of product compliance with the EU legislation that enables the free movement of products within the European market.
dantoy is “Der Grüne Punkt”-accredited. This is a German eco-label implemented by Duales Systems Deutschland GmbH that verifies that dantoy collects and recycles used packaging.
dantoy is a partner in Operation Clean Sweep, an organisation working towards a cleaner environment whose aims include reducing the discharge of plastic granules from manufacturing companies into the sea.
All dantoy are approved for food contact except Blue Marine, Classic Recycled and Recycled Pastels.
All dantoy products are dishwasher safe, except for items containing metal parts and Playful Wood.
