About the performance

THE HOST is a playful and thought-provoking dance performance that invites you to a party like no other—hosted by an AI!

How would an artificial intelligence plan the most human party ever? What emotions and interactions arise when the boundaries between human and machine are explored on stage?

Inspired by social experiments and AI research, we take you on a poetic journey where the dancers’ bodies become physical expressions of the AI’s attempts to understand and be human. A performance filled with curiosity, surprises, and perhaps even a little rebellion from our digital host.

Are you ready to be captivated by a reimagining of what it means to be human?

Join us for THE HOST—a party you won’t forget!

About the artist

Noora Hannula

Noora Hannula (FI, 1988) is a Finnish choreographer and dancer based in Denmark, where she works as the artistic director of The Nordic Beasts. Creating her own works since 2011, she has been recognized internationally from early on, winning choreography prizes in Belgium (2012) and Amsterdam (2013), and later presenting pieces at major festivals such as Internationale tanzmesse (2016) and Ars Electronica (2018). In 2019, she was named by the Danish Arts Council as one of the three most significant stage artists in Denmark.

Her current focus is THE DIGITAL LOVE TRILOGY, a series of works exploring how intimacy is reshaped through technology. Across its three parts - Digital Partners, Constructed Intimacy, and AI Enhancements - the trilogy reflects on love, desire, and human connection in the digital age.

About The Nordic Beasts

The Nordic Beasts is a dance theatre company dedicated to creating bold, multilayered productions that push the boundaries of contemporary performance. Under the artistic direction of choreographer Noora Hannula (FI) and producer Arna Lára Pétursdóttir (IS), the company continually explores new ways of shaping dance theatre and addressing modern-day themes with innovation and edge.

Each season, alongside long-term collaborator Ida Duelund (DK), The Nordic Beasts invite new Nordic artists to join their work, ensuring a fresh and diverse creative dialogue.

A Nordic Beasts production is marked by a striking visual aesthetic, physically uncompromising choreography, and sharp reflections on the digital age—often delivered with a touch of absurdity.
