C O M PA N Y B I O Wendy Mason and Earnest Merritt, wife and husband duo, formed Dear Hancock in 2010 as a way to combine their love of painting, drawing, and paper goods. Dear Hancock’s painterly aesthetics and narrative details represent a mix of nostalgia, humor, and everyday life. Mason’s and Merritt’s art backgrounds are visible in this unique brand, including Hancock the Punny Rabbit, a beloved character who is depicted hopping around humorous situations with a steadfast expression.

Dear Hancock has collaborated with Chronicle Books, Anthropologie, Paper Source and other great companies. The owner’s art backgrounds and love for painting and drawing is visible in this unique contemporary brand.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS Wendy Mason and Earnest Merritt met at CalArts where they earned their MFA degrees, The pair formed Dear Hancock in Los Angeles, California in November 2010.

The Dear Hancock studio operates out of a vintage schoolhouse in Richmond, VA.

All Dear Hancock paper goods are printed in the USA on recyclable, FSC approved, green-e certified 100 lb paper stock. The 100% recycled kraft envelopes are sourced from a hydro-electric paper mill and all Dear Hancock paper goods are printed in the USA.
