About Us
We introduced our collection of thick, luxury notepads in 2012 at our small brick-and-mortar shop in Pacific Palisades, California. We started with just the black initial line; they became so popular that we decided to add more designs and offer them wholesale to our friends in the business. The rest is history!
These notepads are special! 275 sheets of luxurious, smooth paper stock for our original large pads, and 140 sheets of quality thick smooth card stock for our Large Gold Foils (160 sheets for the Gold Foil Long Skinny and Small Square notepads). Even the paper on our color-printed pads is of such quality your pen will fall deeply in love.
Our notepads are just waiting for your lists, your thoughts, your plans, your brilliant ideas… and your love notes, too. Weighing in at almost 3 lbs (even more for the large gold foils), each notepad is made with the finest quality paper and card stock and works beautifully as fine stationery. Fold a page from the large notepad (8.5x7) in half and it will fit snugly into a #10 envelope; our long skinny notepads (4x9.25) slip into the same envelopes without folding. We also carry small square notepads (5.5x5.5) which will fit into 5.75 square envelopes (see our recommendations for envelope and ribbon suppliers on page 38). THE NOTEPADS
Our notepads come in four sizes (but only as shown... we do not have every design in every size!). All notepads are backed with 18 pt. backers. Our notepads fit snugly into our custom-designed clear acrylic or color lacquer trays, which are sold separately and available in varying sizes. Notepad sizes are:
• Large (8.5x7)
• Long Skinny(4x9.25)
• Small Square (5.5x5.5)
Large and Small Square color notepads (printed 4/0) have 275 sheets of 80# husky smooth text.
Large White Foil notepads have 175 sheet and are printed with white foil on 67 lb. Bristol Vellum paper (blue or gray).
Large Gold Foil notepads have 140 sheets of quality 80# smooth cardstock.
Long Skinny Gold Foil and Gray Initial notepads, and Small Square Gold Foil notepads have 160 sheets of quality 80# smooth cover-weight stock.

WHAT TO KNOW
THE CUSTOMS
We offer custom notepad printing for both color and gold foil, but need a good 2-3 months' lead time. Please note that we don’t have a set schedule for printing customs—it depends on the number of orders we have accumulated.
There is no SKU for custom pads; please contact me (Sue Black, blackinkwholesale@gmail.com) directly to make arrangements and discuss design. For customers who order at shows, design fee is waived.
Custom notepads are the Large size: 8.5x7. Gold foil, 140 sheets; Color, 160 sheets.

THE SHIPPING
All notepads ship Fedex Ground at $3.50 each, which is a special discounted price we’ve negotiated with our shipper. Trays ship by the case or bundle as detailed above.
Customers are welcome to ship on their own account (UPS or FEDEX) but please supply the account number with each order.*
Turnaround is normally between 2 and 4 business days, depending on the season.
*It is highly recommended that orders of 100+ items ship on a pallet on the customer’s freight account. Please find out if your customer wants to ship via freight and if they need a truck with a lift gate.
SUGGESTIONS FOR REPS
Please register for a wholesale account so that you can log on to our wholesale site and see what’s in stock. (There is no connection between Market Time and our inventory control so this is the best way to get live inventory info).
Please be sure to include customer’s credit card, email and phone number on EVERY order. All correspondence, invoices and order/shipping confirmations will go to the email address you specify.
Please contact blackinkwholesale@gmail.com if your customer has received damaged product. Please email photos and description of damage along with the order number so that we can inform shipping and replace the product(s) asap, or issue a refund if requested. Claims must be reported within five (5) days of order delivery. Call tags due to customer or rep error will be charged accordingly.
