• 13:00-14:45: Workshop for representatives of private nursing homes and Prague municipality in Arjo (distributor of medical devices and solutions), Prague

• 15:30-16:30 Workshop with Ministry of Social Affairs + Research Committee of Sociology of Ageing, International Sociological Association at the Danish Embassy in Prague

• 16:30: Departure to Brno

21 October

• 8:30-9:30: Visit of nursing home in Ivančice, close to Brno, second largest city in Czechia (Senior Garden)

• 12:00-13:00: Visit of senior home in Central Bohemian region – Sedlec-Prčice (AHC Group)

• 14:00-16:00: Workshop for representatives of municipalities in Tábor

• 16:00 Departure to Prague

22 October

• 9:00-10:00: David Pospíšil, Long-term care center (Centrum dlouhodobé péče ) + representative of the Health Insurance Company at the Danish Embassy in Prague

• 11:00-12:00: Visit of Alzheimer home in Prague (Penta Hospitals)

• AHC Group: 16 senior homes

• Senior Garden: 3 nursing homes, 5 under construction, and land acquired for 6 additional sites

Market information

Population: 10.9 million

• 97,100 people stayed in nursing homes in 2024, this number has risen by 17 % since 2014.

• 44 % of the facility's residents were people with dementia (in total 42,900), in 2014 it was 35 %

• 35,700 new beds in nursing homes with dementia will be needed by 2040.

• Capacity of residential social services is 35 beds per 1000 people over 65 years
