Project Length: 2.5 Weeks
Ways of Life Plaza commemorates the hidden hardships veterans endure to ensure our freedom through a sequential memorial that spans across the site. Remembrance quotes are cut through several corten steel elements creating shadows on the groundplane. The distinct forms of the groundplane patterns, planters, and the sequence memorial are inspired by the wave patterns revealed at Houghton Lake; which are strategically designed to visually guide pedestrians through the plaza.

Transitions Park transforms a brownfield site, with a historic train depot, into a vibrant park that allows visitors to learn about the industrial advancements that helped establish Marysville and to visualize a future where clean, sustainable energy revolutionizes technology.

Continuing Halprins Legacy A Walk Through the Surrounding Eco-regions Denver, Colorado
Project Length: 4 Weeks
In the process of revitalizing Skyline Park, maintaining Lawrence Halprins legacy is achieved through emulating natures ecological processes in tangible form while leading visitors through a narrative sequence. The flow of water literally and conceptually works as a visual force that guides movement along the site. Skyline Park provides visitors opportunities for physical contact with the elements of the natural world that have become distant to our urban environment. Vehicular transportation and industrialization are part of Denver’s ozone pollution

In block 1, the Interactive Pavilion displays green LED lights representing that current air quality is safe. Denver’s air quality is one of the worst in the nation and there is a lack of awareness of this problem. The pavilion in Block 1 is an interactive LED structure that displays the current air quality conditions in the area.

The entry sign relates to the immediate sorroundings of the Kansas State University materiality palette and signage elements around campus. The wood deck is an addition to the Edwards Hall redesign and allows space for people to congregate outside, an ammenity that is currently not present.

Professional Experience Renderings
Wichita, Kansas In the month of January 2020, I had the opportunity to create renderings for a highend residential project under a registered landscape architect. In the process of developing the deliverables for the client, I decided to learn the 3D modeling software, Twinmotion, to create the following graphics. Aside from my academics, I also have multiple years of work experience for my family landscape business in maintaining well manicured landscapes, turf management, and constructing retaining walls and patios.
Outside the back door a sunken fire pit for gathering is alongside the pool.
Both water features are designed to be on axis with the fire pit. 16
