Trusts in Partnership
Founded 1993
Trusts in Partnership • Providing a platform for increased charitable giving, for long lasting impact. • Creating a network of like-minded people wishing to make a difference. • Helping you, through the Authentic Lives programme, to understand yourself and your role in society.
A little history Trusts in Partnership (TiP) was founded with the aim of promoting a lifestyle of charitable giving, in order to encourage, educate and inspire people to give their time, money and skills. It began with receptions in venues such as the House of Lords and the Bank of England where guest speakers spoke about their charitable ventures and how these changed their lives...
These initiatives highlighted the need to develop the next generation of those who want to improve the lives of the less fortunate, by giving generously. So a programme was developed to enable individuals to work alongside others with a similar vision, while also learning from an experienced mentor. TiP is now ready to partner with charitable minded individuals across the UK, who want to take the lead in championing their city’s or region’s charitable heritage.
The founder of Trusts in Partnership, Peter A. West has over 50 years’ experience of working within the charity sector. Peter is now ready to promote the TiP giving model throughout the country by meeting people in the cities and regions to encourage them to champion this programme, which provides an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding experience for the members. Use will be made of social media to add a new dimension to the model and enable groups to grow more quickly. It has been a long journey, but the aim is to leave a legacy of intelligent giving for years to come of which many generations and charitable causes will benefit. Peter A. West

“Being part of the Bread Tin and working with Peter taught me a lot about giving, not just money but time too. It also helped me to think about giving creatively and engaging with smaller charities and projects rather than mainstream charities we see on TV. It wasn’t just about what I could give on my own either, but through encouraging others to get involved, what we could achieve collectively. “ Olivia Wilkins – Short Term Career Officer RAF Regiment
