RETROGRADES occur
3 to 4 times a year and last about 3 weeks. This transit gives the perception of Mercury— the planet that rules communication (technology + travel included)—going “backward.” While not an ideal time to officially launch new endeavours or make important purchases, it is an excellent time to go inward, slow down, and intentionally reorganize, purge, reassess, and respond to things that come up from the past. Retreat and deepen your devotional practices.
There’s a shadow period before and after a retrograde—like a ramp-up and a hangover. Treating that pre-shadow and post-shadow time as part of the retrograde period is wise.

Every day of the week is governed by a planetary energy, so each day has its own vibration. Ideally, we flow with that energy instead of resisting it.
One way to create more flow is to pair a Life Area with a day of the week. Then tasks, research, shopping, organizing, check-ins, etc... get focused on that Life Area.

SUNDAY is ruled by the Sun, Solar Nature, Soul, Christ Consciousness/Buddha Nature. It brings the energy of all-inclusiveness—Divine Love. Energetically speaking, Sundays are the first day of the week. Sundays are ideal for devotion, restoration, and preparation.

MONDAY is ruled by the Moon—a lunar force. Shadow energies (the unconscious) can abound, so it can be a more emotional, watery-feeling day for some people. Mondays call for patience and mindfulness.

TUESDAY is ruled by Mars, a planet of ambition and passion. Mars energy can be aggressive, combative, and confrontational. It may not be the ideal day to launch new ideas or projects. Tuesdays are good for creation and execution.

WEDNESDAY is ruled by Mercury. This energy is ideal for broader communication of ideas, thoughts, and experiences. There’s more fluidity in how things can be disseminated. Wednesdays are excellent for sharing ideas and wisdom.

THURSDAY is ruled by Jupiter, so it’s considered a day of abundance, luck, determination, vastness, and selflessness. Thursdays are for expanding, teaching, and reaching out.

1. HAND ON HEART. Put your right hand on your heart and breathe slowly.
2. SIGNAL YOUR MIND TO RELAX by recalling a positive memory or feeling of gratitude, love, beauty—your loves, happiness, the best day of your life, adoring nature, feeling most alive….
Notice warm golden light filling your heart chakra. Now…switch gears.
What would you like to energize or transform? (Uplifting the positive or transforming the negative.)
To transform negative energy: Focus on one pain aspect at a time. Think of the feeling or struggle that you want to bring ease to—and bring it into your heart.
You can see it however you like. As a snapshot, a symbol, a phrase. A face or a place, a landscape. You can hear it as a word or a sound. You can see a sentence written in your heart.
3. SEND LIGHT. Shine the light spectrum on to what you’re healing—very lit up, translucent rainbow colours. It’s like the colours that happen when light shines through stained glass:
Bright pinks, peach tones, soft golds, minty greens, sky blues, lilacs. Very dynamic, lit up, soft and alive. Your heart center is luminous.
4. ADD ENERGIES. Pour on Soul Qualities if you want! Energies of Compassion, Love, Joy, Forgiving, wishes for the highest good for all.
5. LET IT REST. Let the pain theme (or positive vision) rest in your heart. You don’t need to analyze it or change it. Just let it be in the light. Stay focused on the energy of the solution.
