Suburban Stacks | 2020 | Design 6 Project with Andrew Barrie
The design seeks a quality solution for Point Chevalier’s church community. The brief is situated on 126 Point Chevalier Road. Within this constrained site, the Client required a diverse programme that includes the local church, op shop, counselling, apartment housing, and outdoor community facilities.
The design includes practical consideration for a ‘live’ Client’s budgetary and functional needs, whilst still delivering a quality proposal that emphasises Welcome, Community, Food, and Shelter. The resulting design complies with height to boundary regulations as outlined by the Auckland Unitary Plan, while also considering a three-stage construction timeline for economic purposes.
