bioregional model?

bioreginal model: bioregionalism means learning to become native to place, fitting ourselves to a particular place, not fitting a place to our pre-determined tastes. It is living within the limits and the gifts provided by a place, creating a way of life that can be passed on to future generations.

On Bioregionalism, Cascadia
bioregional model: investigating aspects of a place beyond the obvious and the visible by examining nuanced systems, logics and perspectives
The Cultural Iceberg, Edward T. Hall

Mission oriented innovation, Mariana Mazzucato

bioregional model: creating processes and building blocks to reframe the way we tackle grand challenges through a bottom-up approach

bioregional model: developing local and international collaborative networks which have the potential to create its own uniqe dynamics and collective intelligence
Genius
vs Scenius, Brian Eno

The Good Ancestor: How to Think Long Term in a ShortTerm World, Roman Krznaric

bioregional model: devising processes and projects as a result of longterm thinking strategies and building of virtuous, crossgenerational systems

bioregional model: stimulating cosmo-local, commons-centric approaches towards production processes, knowledge platforms and materials

Summary of the Cooperative Forms for a Commons-centric Economy, Michel Bauwens
bioregional model: operating within a finite supply of resources on a global and local scale
The Limits to Growth, Donella Meadows

This presentation was made exclusively for the purposes of the exhibition as part of the opening of Magasin Electrique, the new building of Atelier Luma in Arles.

The project ‚towards a bioregional model‘ will be followed-up by a more detailed report of the findings of the proposed comparative analysis as part of a final residency in Arles in June / July 2023.
