Dania Pointe continues to expand with the construction of the Spirit/JetBlue headquarters, training facility, employee housing and parking garage. Also under construction is Avery II, an 8-story, 336 unit residential building. Recently opened in Dania Pointe is Regal Cinemas that showcases 16 auditoriums with multiple screens featuring new release films in 4DX, RPX Screen X & VIP. This movie theater delivers an immersive multi-sensory cinematic experience.
HEADQUARTERS & TRAINING FACILITY
Public Art provides opportunities to engage communities and bring vibrancy to both public and private developments. It is a powerful tool and partner for artistic self-expression, community dialogue and celebration of place. The City of Dania Beach has initiated its Public Art Advisory Board which meets on the third Monday of every month in the Northwest Conference room at City Hall.
The city is moving forward with plans to redevelop a city-owned waterfront restaurant, the old Dania Beach Grill. The city commission has approved the redevelopment of the property as an entertainment complex called Lucky Fish that includes an outdoor tiki building with a covered band stage and event lawn. The new Lucky Fish complex in Dania Beach will have a total occupancy of 213 patrons. The construction for this project is anticipated to take approximately nine months to complete once the final permits are issued. Additional developments around the city are illustrated below.
It is my honor to serve the citizens of Dania Beach as your mayor, and it is my pleasure to present the 2022 State of the City Address. This is an amazing opportunity to bring together the commission, city leaders, residents, businesses, and the city team to learn about the Renaissance we are experiencing here in Dania Beach. We will look back at the city’s major accomplishments over the past few years and look forward to how the city is planning for the future.
Serving the city I was born and raised in has certainly given me purpose and fulfilment. Let’s finish 2022 with a bang! #Dania Beach is the destination to SEA IT. LIVE IT. LOVE IT!
