THE PALM COURT The Palm Court’s history dates back to the 16th century, when it was a grand mansion garden owned by the wealthy Chancellor Frederik Ahlefeldt. Later, the garden was made into a hall of glass and, in 1902, it was decorated as a palm court after the fashion of the time with palm trees, marble columns and majestic sculptures. Over time, countless historical events with prominent guests from all over the world have over time been held in The Palm Court, which is still one of the utmost impressive and sought-after event spaces for all types of events in Denmark.

The Palm Court offers versatile options for your event, accommodating up to 400 guests for standing receptions, and when combined with the Gallery and Louis XVI ballroom, a total of 700 guests can be accommodated.

For seated dinners, the Palm Court comfortably accommodates up to 300 guests at round tables.

LOUIS XVI The oldest ballroom at d’Angleterre, and one of the oldest and most luxurious ballrooms in all of Copenhagen, Louis XVI has been the setting for numerous magical weddings over the years.

With its lavish ambience, Louis XVI is ideal for weddings at all seasons and can accommodate up to 200 guests for standing wedding reception.

The regal Louis XVI ballroom graciously accommodates up to 140 seated guests for enchanting dinners at adorned round tables.

EMPIRE Empire is one of d’Angleterre’s most breathtaking function rooms, which can be expanded and combined with Salon IV. With capacity for up to 50 guests, this beautiful and intimate function room can also be used for smaller receptions in private surroundings in the heart of Copenhagen.

GALLERY The gallery is located next to The Palm Court and is particularly suitable for weddings with its nave-like structure.

Throughout the length of the Gallery, stunning antique chandeliers are hanging under the vaulted ceilings, which together with the soft carpets create fantastic acoustics - so, guests throughout the room are able to hear what is being said at the altar.

Our Gallery has the capacity to host seated dinners with round tables, accommodating up to 70 guests.

THE SALONS d’Angleterre’s Salons are perfect for small and intimate celebrations.

All Salons are adorned with beautiful velour on the walls and soft carpets, which creates a warm and intimate atmosphere.

The chandeliers and wall lamps have hung on the walls of d’Angleterre for as long as anyone can remember. For intimate wedding celebrations for just the two of you, Salon 1 provides the perfect setting.

Furthermore, the salons can be combined to create a space that can accommodate up to 20 guests at a single long table.

AFTERPARTY If your party of a lifetime continues into the wee hours of the night, Balthazar, our signature Champagne bar, will open its doors*, exclusively for you and your guests from 2-4am.

Balthazar’s exclusive frames sets a beautiful scene around a last hours of an unforgettable evening. *There is a maximum of 100 guests and a minimum consumption will be agreed upon ahead of time, based on the number of guests.

DJ is not included, but can be arranged.

THE WEDDING NIGHT When you have bid your guests farewell - full of love and happiness - your first night together as newlyweds awaits you at the d’Angleterre.

Whether you are toasting with bubbles to celebrate your love – just the two of you – or if the large bed with the soft duvets allures, your utmost privacy will be assured by our discreet and attentive staff.

The next morning, we serve the most amazing breakfast for you in the privacy of your suite; or, if you prefer, you can take each other by the hand and enjoy the morning with breakfast at Marchal with a view of Kongens Nytorv.

PLANNING We provide you with a dedicated contact person from our professional sales team, who will be with you all the way from the very beginning until all the details are settled.

We offer all the handholding you may need throughout the entire process, and when the wedding takes shape, you will be presented with the menu and wines.

At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to talk to everyone on the wedding team, from the chef, and pastry chef to the florist and the sommelier.

As the wedding get approaches, you will also be introduced dedicated on-site planner for your evening, who will go through all the little details with you.

You will be in very competent hands throughout the whole process And we will ensure that you get exactly the wedding you dream of.
