Whatâ€™s New Summer is finally here! Another year at Dance Place Summer Camp will be lots of fun. We are so excited to have you all back at camp. This year we plan to have more and more fun with you guys. We have added lots of more and exciting classes such as Ballet, Zumba, Jewelry Making and Hip-Hop Kulture etc. Your own Jr. Staffers will be responsible for informing you in the newsletter on the interesting things happening here every week. So letâ€™s have a great summer, we hope you guys enjoy it!

Check Out the New Classes at Summer Camp! New Zumba Class!! Written by: Yaa Ade Cunningham Kiley Pogas is now teaching classes every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:25 to 2:25! She is a Staff Member at Dance Place that has been teaching for about three years. Kiley is now 22 years old (almost 23 J). Her goal for this summer is to demonstrate and teach us how to see dance from a different perspective. She will show us how dance can be used for fun but can also be a source for healthy living and exercise. Kiley will be teaching “Zumba” this summer. Zumba is an aerobic fitness class that includes different genres of dance such as Hip Hop, Samba, Salsa, etc. Zumba is also an international form of fitness; meaning that it is practiced all

This summer there is a new addition to the Dance Place Summer Camp Staff and her name is Ms. Judy Estey. Ms. Judy is 25 years old and works in the Development office. Along with being the Director of Grants, Ms. Judy is the new ballet teacher here at Summer Camp. Even though Ms. Judy has been teaching ballet for four years, this is her first year here teaching ballet to the 5 and 6 year olds here at summer camp. In addition to teaching at summer camp, Ms. Judy teaches Ballet and Tap on Thursdays and Saturdays for the Kids on the Move program. When Ms. Judy was asked what she is most excited about in teaching ballet here at summer camp she replied “I am most excited about the videos we will be watching such as Swan Lake and the different moves and terms they will be learning”. Ms. Judy also added that her students are doing very well so far, they are behaving well, and they are filled with lots of energy!
