The Doheny Blues Festival is returning to Dana Point to celebrate its 20th anniversary with three alternating stages filled with blues, rock and soul music on May 20 and 21. Legendary Eagles’ guitarist Joe Walsh and platinumselling artist Melissa Etheridge are set to headline the two-day event. Among them, artists like Jason Bonham, Chris Isaak and Mavis Staples. The weekend long festival will feature more than 20 acts performing in the beachfront venue of Doheny State Beach. An international food court, a vendor village, wine lounge, VIP viewing areas and a free bike valet will be available for guests to enjoy while listening to blues on the beach.

JOE WALSH

Guitarist Joe Walsh is best known for his contributions to the Eagles as well as his early work with the James Gang and Barnstorm. His guitar work on “Hotel California” was named the eighth greatest guitar solo by Guitar World Magazine. Walsh has played alongside Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen, has appeared on the Foo Fighters 2014 Sonic Highways album, he was high in demand as a collaborator, produce and a guest musician. He has received five Grammy Awards with the Eagles, and his songs, both solo and with the Eagles, have placed on the Billboard music charts.
