Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony - The ”Get Together” is a huge event kickstarting one amazing week of international youth football in Denmark.
30.000 participants unite to experience an evening they will remember for the rest of their lives.
It all starts with an unforgettable parade of nations, teams are lined up behind their national flag and they proudly walk through the city to the finals stadium. The journey is one big show, not only for participants but also for the local community. The parade starts from the field 18 at HI.
Teams dress in native wear, team wear, bearing national and team flags - it is truly a wonderful experience for the young players.
It all ends with a warm welcome at the stadium with music and entertainment.

Dana Cup is pleased to once again invite you to the Leaders’ Meeting, which will take place in FiberHallen (ved Hallen Park Vendia) on Tuesday, July 21 from 20:30 to 23:30.
A delicious meal from Bones will be served, and there will be great, atmospheric background music.
If you would like to attend with one or two people, please register HERE no later than July 17, 2026.

Sustainability
Dana Cup supports the Global Goals
Dana Cup contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals and is an official member of Football for the Goals. We are particularly focused on supporting Goals 5, 12, 13, and 16.
We will reduce the amount of residual waste and increase the amount of recycled waste each year.
We will do this by improving waste-sorting options for guests and staff. This means ensuring more and better sorting facilities, improved signage and communication, and guidance in the central area.
Goal: In 2026, a system will be established to collect data on waste amounts from the central area in at least four different fractions.
Goal: In 2026, the amount of residual waste from the central area will be reduced by at least 10% compared to 2024.
We will develop and promote fair play on and off the pitch
We want fair play and good behavior both on and off the field. Therefore, we will increase focus on various fair play initiatives and measure several factors related to fair play.
Goal: We will continuously increase the number of votes cast in connection with the fair play award by making voting attractive and available online.
Goal: Each year, we will set goals and launch initiatives to create a safe and positive environment for all participants in Dana Cup.

The Dana Cup event area forms the framework for a 26,000 m² central hub for both participants and visitors. Here, there are plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy experiences before, between, and after the matches. The area offers a wide selection of dining options and entertaining activities, as well as great opportunities for shopping and relaxation. Every year, our Bazaar Street features 10-12 unique food stalls. To ensure the best experience for both participants and partners, we emphasize a well-organized yet varied selection of food, where each stall has its own theme.
In the event area, you will also find a professional funfair with exciting rides that guarantees a thrilling experience. In addition, the area offers a wealth of daily activities, an e-sports tent, and a disco, and every year we are visited by celebrity guests, to the great delight of the many participants.
Coach/VIP Lounge
The Dana Cup’s new meeting place for reflection, networking, and inspiration
For the many adults accompanying the teams to the Dana Cup – coaches, leaders, and club officials – tournament week is both intense and meaningful. However, there can also be a need for a space to step back, recharge, and gather new inspiration for working with youth and football.
The Dana Cup VIP Coaches Lounge is the central hub for reflection, networking, and professional input. The lounge is located by the Fortuna Hjørring clubhouse, centrally situated within the tournament area with a view of the pitches in the Center Area. Here, you can find a quiet moment during the day, meet other coaches and club officials, and attend inspiring presentations and activities.
Throughout the week, there will be short presentations and talks from various figures within the football community. You can follow the schedule for these continuously on the Dana Cup social media channels.
In the lounge, you will find:
» A relaxed environment with tables, chairs, and a lounge area
» The option to purchase coffee, sodas, and snacks at the bar
» Tactical and pedagogical inspirational materials that you are free to explore
» Visits from relevant contributors offering new knowledge and input for youth football

Dining Healthy food for strong players
A whole week of football calls for a lot of energy and you get that from your food
The meals we provide at the Dana Cup are specially planned for active sportspeople who need to perform at their very best. This means they include a high amount of protein. At the same time the meals must be appetizing and we want them to taste good too, so we have fresh ingredients delivered several times a day.
The menu for the Dana Cup week has been made in collaboration with dieticians from the Hjørring Hospital.

Special meals for players, coaches and leaders who have allergies
Dana Cup can offer the following special meals to those who suffer from allergies and who are staying on one of our schools.
Gluten free, lactose free and vegetarian. We can also prepare special meals for other kinds of allergies if necessary (No doctor’s certificate needed).
NOTE - there is no pork on the menu.
Remember
In the dining hall at every meal time, you can eat as much as you like. You can take a first portion and then a second portion etc. as long as you like. No one has to leave the dining hall hungry.

The Nord Energi Arena was opened in 1930 and has been renovated a number of times, turning it into a fantastic stadium with a capacity of 10.000. This amazing arena gives us the opportunity to showcase the Dana Cup finals in super surroundings, with top quality facilities and the possibility to send quality live-streaming worldwide.
During the Dana Cup, all the A-Finals are played at the Nord Energi Arena. It is truly an amazing experience for all young footballers to have the opportunity to play on such a stage.

The Dana Cup Spirit – Respect, Responsibility, and Community
Honouring teams that make a difference with their hearts in the right place.
The Dana Cup Fair Play Award is given each year to one boys’ team and one girls’ team who have shown outstanding Fair Play throughout the tournament, both on and off the pitch. It’s not just about how you play football; it’s about how you are as a person and a teammate.
The award is given to teams who:
» Show respect towards opponents and referees, regardless of the match result
» Help others, even when they don’t have to
» Take care of their surroundings and clean up after themselves
» Show support and respect for volunteers, organizers and the entire tournament community
