INTRODUCTION
はじめに
At the heart of Christian service is not primarily a call to do something, but a call to know deeply the good news that “the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Jesus is calling us to know and trust him as our Saviour and Servant-King before we follow him as a servant to others. We do not serve in order to be a “good” Christian, because the only person good enough to impress God is Jesus Christ. Rather, serving others is a response of worship, gratitude, and love to God because of the grace we have received in Christ. While we may know the concept of grace cognitively, the transformation of our hearts takes a much longer time. Our esh naturally reverts to a work-based mode, using our ‘good’ work and service as a way of commending and justifying ourselves before God and before others. This is why grace-forgetting, joyless serving can be harmful to our souls. This is why we need the Christian community around us to point us again and again to the gospel of grace. This is why as part of our commitment to love and serve you, we rst invite you to just be a part of our church family.

This data is then collected and typed it into an excel form (via OneDrive), where an up-to-date list of team members is maintained. 3. Each team leader is given access to the rota and required to add the names of their team members to the appropriate section by a given date (after which the rota team are free to ll in the data themselves). 4. Those responsible for the rota actively assist the deacons in recruiting people for each team. This is done through: a) the natural building of relationships and discovery of people’s strengths. b) announcements during the service, or through the church newsletter. c) gently directing people’s attention to the sign-up form on the website.

Overview:
概要:
The primary role of this team is to extend hospitality to visitors and regular attendees of our Sunday service, while supporting the operational needs of the service. We do this through welcoming, ushering and providing relevant information about our church. We help to maintain an atmosphere of reverence and order before, during and after the service, and help foster a culture of biblical hospitality. Hospitality Team aims to be the model for the whole church to be loving and hospitable to each other.

The primary role of this team is to keep a comprehensive record of the church accounts, to document income and expenses, and oversee rent, wages and reimbursements.
このチームの主な役割は、教会の包括的な帳簿を つけること、収支の記録をすること、家賃、賃 金、払い戻しの監督をすることです。

Collect receipts, keep them in a folder, and record them as expenses. 2. Reimburse expenses. 3. Submit a monthly nancial report to the elders (via email). Offerings: Count o erings and record as income. 2. Deposit o erings in GraceCity’s Yucho Bank account. 3. Update the tsucho, check for online o erings, and record in account book.

The primary role of this team is to prepare the sacraments ready for the Sunday service, and maintain a regular supply of communion cups and wafers.

We are called to make Spirit- lled disciples of Jesus Christ through the gospel. In many ways, the children are our nearest mission eld. The Children’s Ministry Team aims to ful ll this vision to disciple and teach the children within GraceCity from an early age: to understand the Gospel and to know God through the narratives of the Bible.

WORSHIP TEAM

The primary role of this team is to minister to the church through God exulting, Christ focused, gospel centred music. We aim to create a space to worship God through music during a Sunday meeting. Job Description:

There are two roles within the worship team. There are worship leaders and worship musicians; both roles seek to love and serve the church by playing and singing worship songs. Musicians and worship leaders are expected to help set up and set down the PA equipment on the Sundays they are serving. This means arriving early on a Sunday. We sing songs that are faithful to scripture and teach us about God and the works of Christ. We then trust that the Holy Spirit will use this truth to reveal God’s glory, convict us of sin and show and strengthen our hope and joy in the gospel. Musicians are expected to try new ideas or contribute ideas as much as their skill level allows them. Song choices and nal arrangements for each Sunday meeting are decided by that particular Sunday’s worship leader. Musicians for that Sunday, even if they are worship leaders, are expected to humbly follow their choices and leading.

The primary role of this team is to help unite the di erent language groups within the church by translating communication from English to Japanese, or from Japanese to English, during services and events.
通訳チームの主な役割は、日曜礼拝やその他の教会 イベントの中でのコミュニケーションを、英語から 日本語へ、または日本語から英語へと訳し、教会内 の異なる言語グループを一つにまとめる助けをする ことです。

On the church rota, we have a separate interpreter for the worship time and for the sermon. Although it is not preferred, occasionally one interpreter is asked to interpret for both the worship and sermon.

The primary role of this team is to equip and assist GraceCity church members in reaching out to the people that God has placed in their lives. We long to see church members actively involved in their communities, providing for the needs of people around them, being channels of Christ’s love to a broken world. Job Description: 1.
Intentionally have conversations with church members about their roles in their communities to see where we can encourage or assist. 2. Ask church members when appropriate to share their stories and struggles in the church newsletter or during the worship service. 3. Lead in prayer and call on the church to pray for the needs that other church members face in their communities and for the needs in society as a whole. 4. Call attention to the work of Christian charities and projects and possibly invite some of them to share about their work before the church. This is done in consultation with the elders.

Overview: The primary role of this team is to use technology and audio/visual media to aid communication on Sundays and to make messages available to a wider audience online.
概要: このチームの主な役割は、日曜日のコミュニケー ションの手助けとしてテクノロジーと音響/視覚メ ディアを使用し、メッセージをオンライン上でより 多くの人に提供することです。
Job Description: The media team is responsible for the audio and visual elements of the Sunday service. Currently, this is the PA, projector (song lyrics/message slides, etc.), and the live stream. Team members also prepare and upload the Sunday messages to YouTube, add messages to the podcast, and make sure these are available on the church’s website. When a member of the media team is serving on a Sunday, they should arrive at 9:30am to help set up the PA equipment. Members of this team should have a good basic understanding of technology, and be good at nding quick solutions to any technical issues that may arise.
