INTRODUCTION Since 1972 HerkuPlast has been developing, producing and distributing propagation trays for horticultural and soft fruit growers. Their team of industry experts have kept HerkuPlast an industry leader through the innovation of new designs developed for better plant health and growth potential.

Growers and distributors, appreciate HerkuPlast production features, high standards, designs, value, and on-time delivery.

HerkuPlast works with high value recycled material and uses solar energy (photo voltaic) in order to reduce our product carbon footprint (PCF).

Daltons, established in 1947, are well known as one of New Zealand’s leading suppliers of potting mixes, composts, mulches, granulated bark products and specialty fertilisers for commercial and retail customers.

Daltons are now also the exclusive New Zealand distributors for Garden City Plastics (GCP), Desch Plantpak, HerkuPlast and Javo. Here you will find a comprehensive list of pots, containers, trays, accessories, potting machines, tray automation and substrate handling systems that Daltons now supply wholesale throughout New Zealand.

Javo work on the development, production and sale of potting machines, tray automation systems, substrate handling machinery and robot applications. Their state of the art factory uses modern engineering and electronic technology to produce the highest quality product. Javo operates in more than 60 countries, including New Zealand where they partner with Daltons Ltd.

Garden City Plastics was established in 1975 and is now Australasia’s largest pot manufacturer. They offer quality plastic products and the latest in new technology, competitively priced and always available when required.

For over 35 years, most of their black plastics containers have been made from recycled plastic, which has just been given a boost by the new and recently introduced recycling program in Australia. Pots no longer need to go into land fill, they are 100% RECYCLABLE – a recycling program is yet to be developed in New Zealand but it is being investigated at industry level.

Daltons are committed to warehousing and holding stock in Christchurch and Matamata to ensure the GCP, Desch, HerkuPlast and Javo ranges are available as and when required, at competitive rates. The minimum quantity is the pack quantity for a product and orders must be in STANDARD PACK multiples or Bulk Quantities.

Our standard colour is black and minimum quantities apply for all colour lines as pots are made to order.

Standard Planters A conventional design with stepped side before the rolled over lip.

Euro Planters Similar to the slimline pots but with a stylish curve to the side.

Slimline Planters A straight sided pot with a small rolled lip. Incorporating two taglok slots. Most have a capillary base.

Deluxe Planters A modern glossy planter with a large rolled lip. The base incorporates large side drainage holes.

LAMINATED WOVEN BAGS Daltons Laminated Woven Bags are specialised growbags for professional growing and transport of larger plants and trees. Our planter bags are manufactured using polypropylene laminated woven fabric made out of 100% virgin polymers.

Our woven bags are fully UV stabilised and this includes the stitching yarn and lifting handles.

They can last for years in the harshest of climates. Drainage holes are provided in the lower sides and bottom of the bags. Our bags are made with a stiff material so that they are easy to fill and once open they can stand self-supporting.

D-TECT® made of NIR detectable recycled plastic.

D-TECT® is NIR detectable so that the pots can be separated in the recycling companies. Moreover, D-TECT® is made from up to 100% recycling material.

What does this mean? Desch has immediately switched over to make all thermoform pots and containers in the terracotta color with a NIR-detectable terracotta inside instead of a black inside. Of course we will not have all products in stock from day one but there will be a transition from terracotta / black to terracotta / terracotta in the coming half year. This means that during this transition period there is a possibility that we do not yet have all products available in terra / terra but still in terracotta / black. D-TECT® can also be produced in grey / grey on request. In addition, all our coloured pots that are newly produced will also be provided with a detectable light interior so that they also meet the requirements for D-TECT® With D-TECT® products you are assured of NIR-readable pots and containers.

DESCH EPLA The Miranda is a decorative, slightly curved-sided, moderately shallow pot with a matte surface and glossy rim.

The three large sizes have a flat bottom with holes: the two smaller sizes have a Y bottom.

The Lucia is a plant container developed for the commercial horticulture sector. Its design considered all the requirements that growers demand including convenient loading onto trolleys. The Lucia is available with or without a saucer.

HANGING POTS AND BASKETS

The GS range is the traditional “Gold Standard” design used for many years by NZ nurseries.

The Javo Watering Tunnel has been used for years as either a free-standing unit or integrated in a complete line. An open and maintenance free conveyor allows for recycling the water. Completely assembled from stainless steel.

The Javo Tray Cleaner can be used for virtually any type and size of tray. It has 2 fast rotating spray arms which are driven by a high pressure pump (not included). In a separate chamber, the trays are rinsed. The continuous moving conveyor belt has a special profile (cleats) and adjustable speed.

The Javo Soil Mixer has a capacity of 1m3 and can handle this in 2 to 4 minutes. The machine is suitable for all kinds of soil and can be filled from the top as well as the rear. Filling from the rear is through a door opening which is protected by a safety switch.

ROLL WHEELBARROW MODELS Because the MANKAR® Roll spraying systems are pushed like wheelbarrows, they are ideal for handling large-scale row cultivation, as well as grass areas or paths and squares with water-bound surfaces. The low weight of the units means that even up sloping terrains are not a problem.

MOUNTED UNITS FOR LARGE AREA SPRAYING Spraying systems for mounting or attachment to vehicles are ideally suited for spraying large areas, e.g. in orchards and vineyards, as well as row cultivation and larger green spaces. Various models are available for front and rear-mounting, exclusively for rear or front-mounting, as well as models for simple attachment to a wide range of vehicles. Spray hoods, including their spray widths, number and configuration, can be adapted to the area of application. Different, mostly variable extension widths are available.
