ADVOCACY Legislators respect physicians and want to hear from you how their actions impact the practice of medicine in Texas. DCMS and TMA make these connections happen through: DCMS Local Meet and Greet meetings with legislators in Dallas County First Tuesdays at the Capitol legislative visits in Austin in odd years DCMS PAC and TEXPAC participation to educate and elect medicine-friendly state and local officials

WELLNESS RESOURCES Ensuring our physicians have resources to support their mental, emotional, and physical health is important. Resources include: DCMS Physician Recovery Committee - offers structured support and advocacy for physicians with behavioral health and substance use disorders Emotional PPE project provides free, confidential counseling resources Wellness First – TMA’s signature program supporting physician wellness
