A Tasteful Place

Venue Highlights

A Tasteful Place offers an elegant indoor setting featuring dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that frame breathtaking views of the gardens. The space graciously accommodates up to 120 guests for a seated reception with a live band, 150 guests for a seated reception with a DJ, or 200 guests for a sophisticated cocktail-style celebration.

Exchange your vows at the picturesque Bigham Overlook, then invite your guests to enjoy a charming cocktail hour in the enchanting Potager Garden or on the inviting veranda of A Tasteful Place before the evening's festivities begin.

Your exclusive rental of A Tasteful Place includes vendor access beginning at 2pm, with the Sewell Boardroom, a private Bridal Suite, Groom's Suite, and dedicated Vendor Room, also available beginning at 2pm.

For couples hosting their ceremony onsite, we recommend a 5:30pm ceremony start time to create a relaxed, seamless flow for the evening. Vendor access to your ceremony location and cocktail hour space begins at 4pm, allowing ample time for thoughtful setup and final preparations.

Rosine Hall

Venue Highlights Rosine Hall, one of our elegant indoor reception venues, provides a beautiful setting for celebrations of every style and scale. The space comfortably accommodates up to 300 guests seated with a live band, up to 350 guests seated with a DJ, or as many as 500 guests for a sophisticated cocktail-style reception.

Your ceremony may be hosted in Jonsson Color Garden, beneath the shade of our iconic tree.

Beginning at 2pm, enjoy vendor access to Rosine Hall as well as client access to the Private Dressing Room, the exclusive bridal suite. The Meadows Classroom serves as both the Groom's Suite and a shared vendor hospitality space, offering a comfortable place to relax and prepare for the celebration.

Access begins at 2pm on Saturdays and 3pm on Fridays.

Vendor access to the ceremony garden and cocktail hour garden begins at 4pm, allowing ample time to thoughtfully prepare each space for your guests' arrival.

DeGolyer Loggia

Venue Highlights

The DeGolyer Loggia, the elegant terrace of the historic DeGolyer Estate, offers a timeless outdoor setting with sweeping views of White Rock Lake and the surrounding gardens.

This stunning venue comfortably accommodates up to 200 guests for a seated reception with a live band, 225 guests for a seated reception with a DJ, or 250 guests for an elegant cocktail-style celebration.

Begin your wedding day by exchanging vows in either the romantic Sunken Garden or the breathtaking A Woman's Garden, then continue the celebration beneath the stars at the DeGolyer Loggia.

Please note that A Woman's Garden is available based on garden scheduling and availability.

Your exclusive DeGolyer Loggia rental includes access from 4pm to 11:30pm. The DeGolyer Green Room, your private bridal suite, is available beginning at 10am, while the Tea Room, serving as the groom's suite and vendor staging area, opens at 4pm. For the most relaxed and enjoyable guest experience, we recommend a 5:30pm ceremony start time.

Vendor access to your ceremony garden and cocktail hour location also begins at 4pm, providing ample time for seamless setup and thoughtful finishing touches.

To ensure a gracious arrival for your guests, complimentary valet parking for up to 200 guests is included with your rental. For celebrations exceeding 200 guests, additional valet service will be arranged for an additional fee.

Alex Camp House

Venue Highlights The Alex Camp House is Dallas’s premier luxury garden venue, where timeless elegance meets the natural beauty of the gardens. Nestled around the historic Alex Camp House and overlooking the tranquil waters of White Rock Lake, this enchanting outdoor venue accommodates up to 200 guests for a seated reception with a live band, 230 guests for a seated reception with a DJ, or 300 guests for a sophisticated cocktail-style celebration.

Create an unforgettable wedding experience by exchanging vows in one of the Arboretum's most picturesque garden settings. Your ceremony and cocktail hour may be hosted in the charming Lay Family Garden, the intimate Secret Garden, the romantic Grotto and Koi Pond, or the breathtaking Tres Amigas, each offering its own distinctive backdrop for an extraordinary celebration.

Your exclusive Alex Camp House rental includes access from 10am to 11:30pm, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed and beautifully paced wedding day. The private Bridal Suite is available beginning at 10am, with the upstairs Groom's Suite opening at 10am as well. For couples hosting their ceremony onsite, we recommend a 5:30pm ceremony start time to ensure a seamless transition into cocktail hour and your evening reception.

A refundable $1,500 security deposit, along with 25% of the venue rental fee is required to reserve your celebration . The deposit is held throughout your event as a safeguard against potential damages and is promptly refunded following your celebration, provided the venue is returned in its original condition.

Details, Defined INCLUSIONS AND AMMENITIES Your venue rental includes the personalized service of a dedicated Wedding Sales Manager, who will serve as your primary point of contact leading up to your wedding day. Approximately 45 days prior to your celebration, your Wedding Sales Manager will host a comprehensive in-person detail meeting to review every detail, finalize your event timeline, and review your custom event layout, ensuring your vision is beautifully brought to life.

Your venue rental includes the support of a dedicated Event Facilitator, who will serve as your primary on-site point of contact throughout your wedding day. Please note, Event Facilitators are not wedding planners; rather, they are responsible for ensuring seamless venue operations, assisting vendors with load-in and coordination, and attending to the logistical needs of the venue and surrounding gardens to support a smooth and beautifully executed event.

Your wedding rental includes admission for all guests and vendors on the day of your celebration, ensuring seamless access to the gardens and event spaces.

To enhance the ambiance of our outdoor venues, outdoor string lighting is required over the DeGolyer Loggia and the Camp House turf. Please connect with your Wedding Sales Manager for additional details.

Elegant white garden chairs are included for all ceremony garden locations, providing a timeless and cohesive foundation for your ceremony design.

VENUE FURNISHINGS Rosine Hall comes with up to 30-72" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 5 cocktail tables, 2-48" rounds for the cakes and oak chiavari chairs.

A Tasteful Place comes with up to 12-60" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 5 cocktail tables, 2-48" rounds for the cakes and oak chiavari chairs.

DeGolyer Loggia comes with up to 20-60" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 5 cocktail tables, 2-48" rounds for the cakes and white garden chairs.

Alex Camp House comes with up to 20-60" round tables, 12-6' rectangle tables, 5 cocktail tables, 2-48" rounds for the cakes and white garden chairs. *Oak chiavaris are an upgrade at DeGolyer Loggia and Alex Camp House if under a garden tent only. CELEBRATIONS DURING FESTIVAL SEASONS DALLAS BLOOMS (LATE FEBRUARY – EARLY APRIL) During Dallas Blooms, the gardens are transformed by thousands of tulips, creating a breathtaking display throughout the Arboretum. While blooms are anticipated within this timeframe, please note that peak flowering is weather-dependent and cannot be guaranteed for specific dates.

FALL FESTIVAL (MID-SEPTEMBER – EARLY NOVEMBER) During Fall Festival, the gardens are thoughtfully accented with seasonal pumpkins placed in select areas throughout the grounds. Installations are intentionally concentrated in public-facing spaces and are carefully positioned to minimize impact on ceremony and event locations. The placement of seasonal décor is subject to change annually. Our signature pumpkin village is located behind the Jonsson Color Garden and is visible from surrounding garden areas.

HOLIDAY AT THE ARBORETUM (MID-NOVEMBER – EARLY JANUARY) The magic of the holiday season comes to life during Holiday at the Arboretum, transforming the gardens into a festive backdrop for your celebration. Seasonal décor is thoughtfully displayed throughout the grounds and featured both inside and outside select event venues, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere.

Each evening, the gardens glow with holiday cheer as illuminated pathways, festive displays, and the charming Christmas Village invite guests to experience the wonder and spirit of the season.

SEASONAL ART EXHIBITS Throughout the year, the garden hosts art installations that are integrated into various garden spaces.

These exhibits are site-specific, remain in place for their designated exhibition period, and cannot be relocated. As installations change annually, presence and placement of the art will vary from season to season.

CELEBRATIONS DURING PUBLIC HOURS While our venues operate as private event spaces, the garden reserves the right to remain open to the public during a contracted event. In such instances, all areas included in the client’s rental agreement will be clearly marked and stanchioned off to ensure privacy and minimize disruption.

Public access will be restricted from these designated areas, and the venue will make reasonable efforts to preserve the atmosphere, privacy, and overall experience of the event.

ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL, RAIN OR SHINE For DeGolyer Loggia and Alex Camp House, the designated rain plan is a professionally installed garden tent through our exclusive rental partner. Tent pricing varies based on size and customization. Tent requests must be confirmed no later than the Monday prior to your wedding, with payment received in full, that same day, before installation can be scheduled. Your Wedding Sales Manager is happy to provide our Tent FAQ for additional details.

If the rain plan is activated, your ceremony will be held beneath the tent, with guests seated at their reception tables while vows are exchanged on the dance floor. The reception layout remains in place throughout the event, and the space is not reconfigured between the ceremony and reception. Any rain plan adjustments must be finalized by 12pm the day before your wedding.

The DeGolyer Loggia also features an intimate covered patio, while the Alex Camp House offers a 20' × 40' tent covered terrace, available during peak season (March–May and September– December), accommodating up to 80 guests.

For Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place, ceremonies are seamlessly relocated indoors in the event of inclement weather. Guests remain seated at their reception tables while the ceremony takes place on the dance floor, allowing for a smooth transition into the evening's celebration without requiring the room to be reset.

GARDEN CELEBRATION GUIDELINES To preserve the tranquil beauty of the gardens and comply with the City of Dallas Noise Ordinance, amplified outdoor music at the DeGolyer Loggia and Alex Camp House must conclude by 10:30pm. Following this time, acoustic string performances and silent disco experiences may continue outdoors. At Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place, amplified music may continue indoors until 12am. All live music and entertainment must be approved prior to contract execution. The Dallas Arboretum adheres to the City's outdoor sound ordinance, which limits amplified sound to a maximum of 55 decibels. To ensure an enjoyable experience for all garden guests, outdoor DJ and band sound checks are only permitted between 4pm and 5pm To ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors, vehicle access to the DeGolyer Estate and Alex Camp House is limited during public garden hours. Delivery vehicles, including those of vendors, family members, and guests, are not permitted to drive directly to these venues. Catering vehicles and Get A Way vehicles may access the venues when escorted by a Dallas Arboretum Event Facilitator or security personnel.

To facilitate a smooth setup, all vendors are required to provide their own carts and dollies for load-in and load-out; these items are not supplied by the Dallas Arboretum.

To safeguard the gardens, open flames are not permitted anywhere on the property. This includes smoking, fireworks, sparklers, and candles with exposed flames. We warmly welcome the use of battery-operated LED candles, which provide the same elegant ambiance while protecting our gardens.

To help preserve our landscapes and historic venues, the following items are not permitted: tacks, staples, tape, awnings, pop-up canopies (EZ-ups), gazebos, balloons, birdseed, rice, confetti, streamers, and artificial rose petals. If rose petals are incorporated into your ceremony or grand exit, they must be natural white or ivory petals only. All petals must be completely removed following the ceremony or grand exit. Failure to do so will result in a fine.

To ensure a seamless and beautifully executed celebration, all ceremonies and receptions are required to have a professional wedding planner or day-of coordinator. This dedicated professional will oversee the production and timeline of your wedding day, coordinate your vendor team, and manage every detail, allowing you, your family, and your guests to fully enjoy the celebration.

Please note that while your Dallas Arboretum Event Facilitator manages venue operations and supports the needs of the property, they do not serve in the role of wedding planner or coordinator.

To provide an exceptional culinary experience and ensure the highest standards of service, all private events at the Dallas Arboretum are catered exclusively by one of our carefully selected approved catering partners. Each caterer is intimately familiar with our venues and is committed to delivering outstanding cuisine and seamless event execution. Couples are welcome to bring in or arrange for an outside bakery or dessert vendor for wedding cakes and specialty desserts. Our catering partners offer a diverse range of menus and are experienced in accommodating dietary restrictions, cultural traditions, and personalized dining preferences, allowing every celebration to reflect your unique vision with exceptional hospitality.

To provide a seamless and elevated hospitality experience, all bar service is exclusively provided by our trusted catering and beverage partner, Proof of the Pudding. Their experienced team offers a variety of thoughtfully curated bar packages, signature cocktails, and personalized beverage services to complement your celebration and ensure exceptional service for you and your guests.

To ensure every celebration reflects the exceptional standards of the Dallas Arboretum, we partner with a select group of trusted event professionals who are intimately familiar with our venues and gardens. Big D Party Rentals is our exclusive partner for all garden tenting and outdoor ambient lighting, providing beautifully tailored installations that complement the natural beauty of the Arboretum. Catering, bar service, valet parking, tenting, and outdoor lighting are coordinated through our approved partners to ensure a seamless planning experience and flawless event execution. Beyond these specialized services, you are welcome to personalize your celebration by selecting the florist, photographer, entertainment, planner, and other creative professionals who best reflect your vision. For additional information regarding our exclusive partners and available enhancements, please contact your Wedding Sales Manager.

Vendor access is carefully coordinated around your contracted rental period. Vendors may begin setup and load-in at the official start time of your reserved event window. Early deliveries, dropoffs, or setup are not permitted. All vendor belongings, equipment, and personal items must be fully removed by the conclusion of the contracted rental period. Vendors are responsible for providing their own staffing, equipment, carts, and dollies for all setup and breakdown needs; these resources are not supplied by the Dallas Arboretum. To allow for a smooth transition from daytime garden operations to private event preparation, access to ceremony gardens and cocktail hour locations begins no earlier than 4pm. These guidelines help ensure a beautifully executed celebration while preserving the exceptional experience of the gardens for all guests.

ENHANCEMENTS AND ADDITIONS As a nonprofit organization, we do not charge tax or service fees on the venue rental. However, a 3% convenience fee applies for all electronic payments made by credit or debit card.

Additional rental hours may be added, as available, for an extra fee.

Your guests will pay for parking upon arrival. If you’d like to cover this cost, you’ll need to add on valet services with your sales manager.

It may be possible to add setup time for your vendors; please note that the earliest access to the DeGolyer Loggia is 4 PM. For Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place rentals, one additional hour may be added at the end of your event, but receptions must conclude by midnight, with cleanup completed by 1 AM. Additional tables beyond the included quantity are available for $10 each. The Arboretum offers a selection of in-house rental items, including dance floors (available at Rosine Hall and A Tasteful Place), a stage (available at Rosine Hall) and farm tables. All can be rented for an additional fee.

Both DeGolyer Loggia and Alex Camp House require outdoor string lighting, provided exclusively

by Big D Party Rentals. Customizations and upgrades are available through Big D Party Rentals.

Events extending beyond the contracted rental time will incur an overtime charge of $600 per hour, which will be deducted from your refundable deposit.

Garden tents are not included for the DeGolyer Loggia or Alex Camp House and must be rented through our exclusive tent company, Big D Party Rentals.

A professional wedding planner or coordinator with proof of insurance is required for all events, at the client’s expense.

Any damage to the grounds or property will result in fees deducted from your refundable security deposit.

In the event that your guest count exceeds the contracted amount for valet parking, you will be invoiced for the additional parking needs.

ADD ON AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION OR BRIDAL SESSION for $650. For this price you’ll have two hours in the garden at golden hour, either 4:30pm-6:30pm or 5pm-7pm depending on the time of year and the sunset. Also included is an event facilitator in a golf cart to drive you around. This service must be scheduled through your wedding sales manager.

BOOKING YOUR CELEBRATION Once you have selected your venue and are ready to secure your date, your Wedding Sales Manager will prepare a personalized agreement for your review and signature. To officially reserve your celebration date, the following items are required: Signed contract agreement Refundable security deposit Initial payment of 25% of the venue rental fee 3% convenience fee for all credit card transactions Your venue investment will be divided into three scheduled payments: 25% initial payment due at booking to secure your date 50% second payment due according to your payment schedule 25% final payment due 90 days prior to your wedding date For celebrations booked within 90 days of the event date, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Any additional enhancements or add-ons must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the event.

Payments may be submitted by credit card, check, or cash. Payments are not processed automatically and must be submitted manually according to the agreed-upon schedule.

Your refundable security deposit will be returned by mailed check within 30 days following the event, provided the venue, gardens, and furnishings are returned without damage and all event guidelines have been followed. Failure to adhere to contracted venue access times by the client or planner may result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

BAR SERVICES All alcoholic beverage service is exclusively provided by our trusted hospitality partner, Proof of the Pudding.

Their experienced team will handle every detail, including professional bartenders, premium bar setups, mixers, glassware, ice, and all alcoholic beverages, allowing you to relax and enjoy your celebration. Because Proof of the Pudding manages all alcohol service, outside bartending companies, personal bartenders, and BYOB are not permitted. This exclusive partnership ensures consistent service, compliance with venue and licensing requirements, and an exceptional guest experience from beginning to end.
