On behalf of the Dallas Division of the American Heart Association, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our 2024 Dallas Go Red for Women Co-Chairs, Stacy Nahas and Susan Wetzel. Your leadership, service, and generosity have made an immeasurable difference in our fight for women’s heart health!
Each year, the Sandi Haddock Community Impact Honor is presented at the Dallas Go Red for Women® Luncheon to a servant leader that has made a significant impact on women’s health in our community. The American Heart Association is proud to recognize Barbara Bigham as the 2024 Sandi Haddock Community Impact Honoree.
Barbara was a long-time volunteer for the American Heart Association before taking on the role of chairperson for the brand-new Dallas Go Red for Women® Luncheon 20 years ago. Her bold leadership and passion for women’s cardiovascular health helped build the foundation for the global movement we celebrate today. The Bighams’ service to our community spans many causes including the Salesmanship Club and Momentous Institute, the Dallas Arboretum and Women’s Council of the Arboretum, Kidney Texas, DMA league, TACA, Aging Mind Foundation, Dallas Symphony, Opera, U.S.A. Film festival, Dallas Theatre Center and SPCA… just to name a few!
Woman of Impact is an inclusive initiative to drive awareness and raise funds for women’s heart health. The Dallas Woman of Impact campaign has brought together local women to be change makers, dedicated to making a lasting impact on the health of our community.
Thank you to these ladies for being champions of women’s health in Dallas.
Like her clients, Nicole is a force to be reckoned with. In 2019, Nicole Lynn became the first Black woman to represent a Top 3 NFL draft pick (and only the second woman in history to solo represent an NFL first rounder). The following year, Lynn again made history, representing back-to-back Top 10 NFL draft picks. Lynn began her illustrious career by signing her first client at only 26. Her host of awards include National Bar Association’s Top 40 Under 40 Lawyer (2022), Culture Creators, Sports Honoree (2022), 2x Woman of the Year Award at The Hustle SBJ Game Changer Award, Glamour Magazine - Most Powerful Women in Sports, and Sports Illustrated – 100 Power Black Women and Sports Illustrated - The Unrelenting List. Nicole reminds individuals that they have the power to uniquely create their future while remaining true to themselves through her book, “Agent You: Show Up, Do the Work and Succeed on Your Own Terms”. She challenges audiences to chase their dreams and says, “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Lynn teaches that it is okay to be the first and it is okay to be the one and only.

Every great idea comes from thinking about a problem in a new way. And that happens when people from diverse backgrounds and experiences work together. At The Container Store, our business is built on the strength of our partnerships. That’s why we’re a proud supporter of Dallas Go Red for Women.

As the American Heart Association looks to 100 more years of impact, we believe our future is about improving yours.
PROUD SPONSOR
At the American Heart Association, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity for a longer, healthier life. For nearly 100 years it’s been our mission to fulfill that vision. Working alongside a global family of volunteers, donors and advocates, we are transforming the way the world understands, treats, and prevents cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
With bold hearts, we now forge ahead into our Second Century, fueling science and innovation, funding lifesaving research, and boldly standing for the rights of patients and caregivers, to empower healthier communities and transcend the way we live, work, and play.
This relentless pursuit will continue until heart disease and stroke are the stories of our past and not of our future. Because a world with equitable health and well-being fuels a future that is yours to create. Join us in this critical mission today.

In communities throughout the United States, Circle of Red members use their influence, generosity and passion to help increase awareness of cardiovascular disease – the leading cause of death in women – and to inspire women to take charge of their health. Circle of Red members are leaders in their communities and families. For many members, the fight against heart disease is personal.
As some of our greatest champions of the Go Red for Women movement, our Circle of Red members not only help save lives, but they are the heart of our mission.
