A3- Vector Masking

For this project, we had to mask and learn how to add vector mask to objects. I chose to do the vespa because in my opinion they are a cuter version of motorcycles! I picked out a dark but vibrant background, a northern lights scenic view, which I think was a good decision. I proceeded to change the color hue, exposure, and lower the brightness of the motorcycle to emulate a reflection of the northern lights while still showing the darkness, which at first i didn’t think i would accomplish, but I somewhat made it happen. Since the scene is already dark, I tried to match the shadow as best as I could but I think I could’ve done a bit better.

A5- Brick Wall & Graffiti

I had so much fun doing this assignment, we were tasked to create graffiti on a brick wall. Firstly, I clicked the clone stamp tool and to use a sample, I clicked and dragged along the image to copy. In order to make it look more real, I made sure to selected various different points. Next I used the the blur tool to make things not to be too sharp and the sharp tool to make things sharper. Later I used the the dodge tool to change the midtones of the image. Afterwards, I clicked on the brushes window which has a special brushes window. Lastly, I went to the layers window, set a blending mode in order to make the graffiti look real and then clicked FX to add different layer effects on the elements.

A9- 88

For this assignment, we had to create a 88 illustration. First, I made sure to create a new document that was 1000×1000. I grabbed the Ellipse Tool, left-clicked, and hold shift to draw a circle. After that, I clocked the Edit menu, pressed Copy, then press Paste in Place which created another copy of that circle. To scale the circles I would hold shift and scale up from the top corners until it snaps. Next, after completing the “g” shape, I started to adjust the colors and gradient using the gradient window and selection. To replicate the color of one of the selections, I used the eyedropper and just clicked on the finished one which made it so all the other parts had the same color. Lastly, I just made a few adjustments to the angle of the gradients as well as choosing between linear and radial.

A11- Movie Poster

In this assignment, we were tasked to creat ea movie poster in InDesign. I decided to go with the movie Your Name since I absolutely love the detailed animation and the beautiful storyline. After that, I thought of making the movie poster simple and sweet when creating the title in Illustrator. When I finished that, I went to photoshop to mask and cut out the movie’s two main characters. When all the placements were ready, I started to fix the background of the poster in InDesign and after adding the other things I made on the other applications.

Never thought I’d make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I’m glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. Hi, Barry. Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. Hear about Frankie? Yeah. You going to the funeral? No, I’m not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die.

Don’t waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way.

I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That’s why we don’t need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. Well, Adam, today we are men. We are! Bee-men. Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive City graduating class of...9:15.

Have Fun With The Three-Dimensional

According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don’t care what humans think is impossible.

Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I’m excited. Here’s the graduate. We’re very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B’s. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. You got lint on your fuzz. Ow! That’s me! Wave to us! We’ll be in row 118,000. Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! Hey, Adam. Hey, Barry. Is that fuzz gel? A little. Special day, graduation.

A12- Trifold Brochure

For this assignment, we were tasked with creating a trifold brochure for a made up company that we had in mind. I decided to go with an establishement that is dedicated to creating 3-dimensional designs, either online or in physical form. I went with a pastel color scheme because it is approachable and created the “3D World” logo in Illustrator as well as the flowers that can be seen throughout the brochure.

Kallos

A14- 12 Page Magazine

I wanted to do something that had to do with photography since it is one of my favorite interests. In this assignemnt, we had to create our very own magazine design about any topic with any creative input. The name “Kallos” was created based on the Greek word for “beauty”.

The Art of Photography

These are other pages that were included in the magazine. The first one is a page I made talking about how making art through photography does not need to be expensive. The second page shown here is actually the back cover of the magazine, in which I used the same model for the cover page, but instead shes facing the other way.

8 College Life Many think that a lot of tools are needed in order to achieve a certain artwork or picture scene. In order to achieve a piece of artwork, a lot of money is not a neccesity, this goes for photography as well. Art should not be hard to obtain, it is something that should be accessible to everyone. For photography, many peopel assume that you need a fancy camera to make a photo come to life, which is not true.
