Where dairy in the Central Plains comes together
The place dairy enthusiasts meet Expo facilitates industry professional, producer connection By Maria Bichler Staff Writer
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Bridging the gap between dairy industry professionals and dairy producers is but one benet of the Central Plains Dairy Expo. “I highly recommend the expo to anyone, not only the dairy farmer, but neighbors and other people who are somehow involved because this is the event in the wide region that does attract a lot of different movers and shakers in dairy,” said Olga Reuvekamp, Central Plains Dairy Association president. “You have a chance to meet them in person, and exchange thoughts and ideas and ask critical questions. … It’s a close-knit community of people that depend on and rely on each other and there’s a lot to learn from each other.” The Central Plains Dairy Expo will take place March 26-28 at the Denny Sanford Premier Center and Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The expo will begin Wednesday with a welcome reception followed by a concert featuring country music artist, Travis Tritt. “The concert should be super exciting,” Reuvekamp said. “The night begins with a meal, and people can attend the concert.
