DP World MICT becomes CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE 1st Container Terminal in Gujarat sets a New World Record to handle 10mn Containers of Full Containers Onboard MUMBAI: Global Logistics Company DP World operated Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) has set yet another record for being the first container terminal in Gujarat to successfully handle more than 13 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), and 10 mn Containers, since its inception. This milestone comes with the terminal achieving its all-time highest monthly throughput of 123,611 TEUs by handling 70 vessels in March 2021. Cont’d. Pg. 6
SINGAPORE: The CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE, the world’s largest LNG-powered containership has set a new world record of the highest number of full containers aboard a single vessel. When she departed the port of Singapore on 8 April, the 23,000-TEU vessel of the CMA CGM Group was carrying 21,433 full containers (twenty-foot equivalent units) onboard. Currently en-route to Europe on the FAL 1 service, CMA CGM JACQUES SAADE is laden with containers of household goods, electronic items, machineries and personal protection equipment. Cont’d. Back Pg.
