JNPA celebrates 34th Foundation Day Today

NAVI MUMBAI: The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), commissioned on 26th May 1989, commemorates 34 Years today. It has transformed from a Bulk- Cargo Terminal to become the Premier Container Port in the Country handling around 50% of the total Containerized cargovolume,acrosstheMajorPortsofIndia.

JNPA now is connected to over 200 ports in the World and is ranked 26th in the list of Top 100 Container PortsGlobally.

NEW DELHI: The Government is working to bring down logistics cost to 9 per cent of GDP in the next three years from the current 14-16 per cent, Union Minister NitinGadkari saidrecently.
