CK B Gr ou p of Companies: W he n we hear the term ESG, it sounds very daunting, especially for SMEs. But, actually it is not. It is not, because smaller things what we can do in our day-to-day life and in office actually contributes towards this cause. For instance, the lights we use in our office. Changing the normal lights to LED lights is a cost effective solution saving money for organisation in long run. In fact now days, the cost of LEDs has reduced drastically compared to what it was ten years ago. So saving in electricity bills coupled with long life of LEDs are added advantage for anyone. Going paperless is another way or at least making the best use of papers
Disposal of Electronic items we use in our offices in a prudent and responsible manner also goes long way in keeping the environment clean besides ensuring its reuses. Planting trees on special occasion also helps a lot. When our organisation turned 100 years, we planted around 20,000 trees with a vow to plant equal number of trees periodically Making best use of solar energy in our day to day lives is yet another small but effective way helping in that cause.
We have applied most of these small yet effective things in our Group so it is very easy for others to emulate. And frankly it is not a costly affair at all. On the contrary it helps in reducing the costs in the long run and goes a long way in achieving the ESG goals.
