Grand & Glorious Event to Remember India Maritime Awards 7th Edition

It all started as a small journey back in 2016 whenDailyShippingTimeshostedtheFirstEditionof India Maritime Awards at Hotel ITC Maratha. Culminating the 7th Edition in 2023, with immense support from the Trade and Event Partners, India Maritime Awards has become a brand name to associatewithin the Maritime Fraternity.
Held on 7th July at Hotel Sahara Star, all the Top Dignitaries and Stalwarts from Maritime and Logistics Trade were in high attendance under one roof making India Maritime Awards – 7th EditionatrulySpecialandMemorableEvent.
Shri Rajiv Jalota, IAS, Chairperson –Mumbai Port Authority graced the evening as the Chief Guest. Shri S. K. Mehta, IFS, Chairperson –Deendayal Port Authority & Shri Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Deputy Chairperson, Jawaharlal NehruPortAuthority were also present as Guest of Honour.
Dr. Suhas Madhukar Warke, IPS, Special Inspector General of Police (Law & Order), Maharashtra was present as a Special Guest and also presented Awards to the Winners.
Shri Pramod K. Agrawal, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai-I was awarded as Doyen of Trade FacilitationinCustoms.
Gujarat Maritime Board was Awarded with PortFacilitatoroftheYear.
JURY&FELICITATION
The selection of Awardees at India Maritime Awards 7th Edition was no easy job. Hence Stalwarts from cross sections of the Maritime and Logistics trade were drawn in for the winner selection based on their performance during the past financial year. The Chairman of the Jury this year was Industry Veteran, Capt. Vivek Anand – Group CEO, MSA Global Logistics. He elucidated the August gathering with the thought process that went behind theselectionprocessamongtheJurymembers.
He commented, “Firstly let me Congratulate the Jury members who have meticulously analysed the data, collated and presented by Daily Shipping Times fortheselectionoftheAwardees.
Mr. George Abrao – Chairman Abrao Group was presented with a Special Accolade of “Business Leader and Visionary in Shipping and Logistics” owing to his strong business acumen in scaling his Group and its different vertical to newer heights. He specially came from Dubai to grace the event with his presence.
This Year, India Maritime Awards had a great selection of Individual Awards including Mr. Rajesh Mehta, Ms. Deepa Joshi, Mr. V. Krishnamoorthy, Mr.UmangThakkar,Mr.R.Radhakrishnan and many others, which was very much appreciated by the trade.
