NEW DELHI: India’s overall exports -- merchandise and services combined -- are estimated to have grown 11.51 percent year-on-year in July 2022, at around $61.18 billion, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a press release on August 12. For the same period, the overall imports are estimated to be $82.22 billion, up 42.90% over the same periodlastyear.India’smerchandise exports rose by 2.14 percent year-on-year to billion43.61$66.27importsitemscereal,tobacco,healthymonthto$36.27billioninJuly2022ascompared$35.51billioninthecorrespondingofthelastyear,onaccountofperformancebysectorslikeelectronicgoods,coffee,rice,andmiscellaneousprocessedandoilseeds.Thecountry’smerchandiseinJuly2022surgedtobillion,whichisanincreaseofpercentoverimportsof$46.15inJuly2021,accordingtodata released by the Commerce Ministry.
