TS Lines celebrates 20th Anniversary Cont’d. from Pg. 2 In 2021, Shipping market has seen great growth. T.S. Lines has entered its 20th year this year and seized the growth opportunity with immediate and flexible actions by newbuilding and vessel purchasing, anticipating the market trends as well as predicting the shortage of container and then deployed new equipment since the fourth quarter of last year. As the result in 2020, the company’s annual profit reached historically
order four 7000 TEU containership newbuilds with SWS (Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.) to comply with the latest environmental requirements at the cost of 300 million U.S. dollars to cooperate with Joint Venture service’s upgrade plan. The virtual signing ceremony will be held on 6th, July for the newbuilds order on the same day of T.S. Lines 20th anniversary. As scheduled the vessels will be delivered in 2023~2024 and deployed in the India-Pakistan service to keep depth with better service. In view of the developments of the global COVID-19 epidemic situation remains severe this year, port
high with NTD 6 billion. Indeed, the first-quarter profit this year is even greater than 2020 full-year profit. The initial target of annual profit sets by NTD 10 billion is expected to achieve in the first half of the year. The company aimed the annual cargo volume to 1.9 million TEU with 11% annual growth rate and a turnover of NTD 46 billion by 70% increasing. In an aggressive prospect, the target of annual profit raises up to NTD 17 billion with EPS 43 NTD. T.S. Lines planned to increase the proportion of owned vessels in the fleet of ships up to 50% two years ago. In 2020, five 4300~5600 TEU vessels, one 2500 TEU vessel and two 1800 TEU vessels were purchased and joined the operation in services. Even the purchasing cost was over 100 million U.S. dollars, but the vessel price is rather at the low level which brought the sufficient cost effects to the daily running cost instead of charter hire. In July, one 1000 TEU vessel and one 1800 TEU vessel will be delivered, in addition, one 6300 TEU vessel will be delivered in the fourth quarter this year. In view of the market of chartering vessel is consistently robust and the new shipbuilding order will start taking delivery in 2023~2024, the company’s strategy is to cut down the charter cost and keep searching the best vessel aligned with the 2023 IMO GHG strategy in the current market for the fleet expansion. To abide by the IMO regulations EEXI and CII, T.S. Lines has simultaneously deployed the vessels since 2019 ordered to build two 2700 TEU vessels at Wenchong Shipyard. They will phase in Australian Service in July and September respectively. Four 1900 TEU vessels have also confirmed the order with Wenchong Shipyard and are expected to be delivered after next year. Meanwhile, T.S. Lines confirmed to
congestions, container turnover days extended, and provision of container is still extremely tight. T.S. Lines has invested 65 million U.S. dollars this year to purchase new container equipment, and 11,000 TEUs have been delivered. 10,100 TEUs equipment is planned to be delivered in September this year, and the company’s total owned equipment will be 226,000 TEUs. In order to reduce the operating costs, T.S. Lines intends to add the proportion of owned containers as the short-run plan. With twenty years of all-out efforts, T.S. Lines operate 52 services in 16 countries within 62 ports nowadays. This is the new chapter for the next twenty years because the company overcame the scene during an economic recession like 911, the strike of west coast of USA, the incident of Lehman Brothers, by tapping in its advantage in professional management in crisis and growing young employees who are fully trained by the company. “Sailing along your needs”, T.S. Lines is turning into the best carrier who knows their customers.

CBIC streamlines faceless assessment for faster Customs clearance from July 15th Cont’d. from Pg. 2 “However, Board observes that there is even now scope for improvement which would potentially lead to a substantial increase in the pace of assessments and customs clearance, while further enhancing the uniformity in assessments and anonymity with a view to reduce interface with the trade,” the circular said. With regard to expediting assessment process, the CBIC said that “the working hours of all FAGs (faceless assessment groups) shall be uniform from 10 am till 8 pm on any working day.” Observing that at present, the working hours of the FAGs across the country are not uniform, the CBIC said there is uneven output such that some officers of a who begin work earlier clear more than the targeted bills of entry while others whose working hours begin later do not get sufficient number of bills of entry. A bill of entry is a document submitted to customs department by importers or agents on or before the arrival of imported goods for its clearance. FA G c o n s i s t s o f a p p r a i s e r s / superintendents and assistant
commissioners/deputy commissioners for verification of assessment of any bill of entry that is assigned to this group. During the review, the CBIC found that the time taken for the ‘first decision’ by the appraising officers and deputy/assistant commissioners of customs is also much more than necessary resulting in lower than optimum output. “Accordingly, with a view to facilitate faster decisions and, in turn, faster verification of self-assessments as well as to promote specialisation and enhance uniformity in assessment, Board has decided to implement changes in the assessment procedure,” the circular said. The (NACs) and jurisdictional Principal Commissioners/ Commissioners of Customs shall administratively monitor that FAGs communicate the ‘first decision’ on the Bill of Entry within 3 working hours after its allocation. The first decision could be acceptance of the self-assessment, query to the importer or a ‘First Check’, as may be warranted, it added. The total number of queries which can be raised by an Appraising Officer in
respect of a Bill of Entry would now be restricted to 3. Further, such queries can now be raised without seeking approval of the additional/joint commissioner of Customs. “In this regard, considering this limit to the number of queries, Board desires that, appraising officer raises query in a clear and holistic manner giving reference to supporting details/documents with respect to valuation/classification etc, so that the importer does not have any doubt and is in a position to reply categorically for early completion of verification,” the CBIC circular added. These changes would come into effect from July 15, it added. AMRG & Associates senior partner said expediting the assessment and customs clearance of imported goods using automated tools would facilitate International trade in India. “Faster customs clearances would also support domestic manufacturing entities, who are dependent on import of raw material from other developing nations,” Mohan added.
DGFT suspends issuing export benets under key schemes temporarily due to procedural changes NEW DELHI: The government has said that it has put on hold issuing benefits under various export promotion schemes due to changes in the allocation procedure. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said that benefits under the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme, Ser vice Export from India Scheme, Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies, and Rebate of State Levies have been “put on hold for a temporary period”. “During this period, no fresh applications would be allowed to be
submitted at the online IT module of DGFT for these schemes and all submitted applications pending for issuance of scrips would also be on hold,” the DGFT said in a trade notice. It said that trade would be informed once issuance is opened once again. “This suspension will create uncertainty with respect to these benefits for the exporters and may also impact thier cash flows. The export industry would hope that this suspension is lif ted soon and the benefits are made available in full and
s o o n , ” s a i d A b h i s h e k J a i n , Ta x Partner, EY. The suspension comes amid the government yet to notify the benefits rates under the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP) scheme that was put in place in January. Export bodies have been asking for release of the funds for MEIS, clarity on SEIS benefits and continuance of seamless refund of IGST to ease fund blockage. Merchandise exports grew a record $95 billion during April-June and India aims to clock $400 billion exports in FY22.
Suspension of benets under incentive schemes to affect exporting community's condence: PHDCCI NEW DELHI: Temporary suspension of issuance of benefits under various export incentive schemes due to changes in the allocation procedure will have some impact on the confidence of exporting community, industry chamber PHDCCI said on Friday. It said exporters were expecting favourable news on Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS), Services Exports from India Scheme (SEIS), Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products (RoDTEP), and other scrips to boost their exports during the pandemic. PHDCCI President Sanjay Aggarwal said, "The temporary suspension of
disbursement of these scrips will have some impact on their confidence. This is a period when exports are recovering and growing in double digits. So, at this juncture, early announcement of the scrips benefits would build the confidence of the exporters." The commerce ministry recently said issuance of benefits under different export incentive schemes would be on hold for a temporary period due to changes in the allocation procedure. Exporters avail benefits under schemes like MEIS, SEIS, Rebate of State Levies (RoSL), and Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL).
The chamber said that exporters are uncertain with regard to the costing of their products restricting their ability to compete in the industry. "Continuous delay would have a major impact on potential exports, as exporters are hesitant to sign new contracts, particularly in sectors with tight margins," it added. Separately, Plastics Export Promotion Council of India Chairman Arvind Goenka said the plastics industry was awaiting an early announcement of RoDTEP rates and an early allocation of funds towards refund of embedded taxes so that export growth trajectory is maintained.

In a first, GI certified Madurai jasmine flowers exported to US, Dubai NEW DELHI: For the first time ever, Geographical Indications (GI) certified Madurai jasmine and other traditional f l o w e r s s u c h a s b u t t o n r o s e , l i l y, chamanthi, and marigold were exported to the US and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Tamil Nadu on Thursday. This will fulfil the Indian diaspora’s need for fresh flowers for deities at home and temples. The flowers were sourced from Nilakottai, Dindigul and Sathyamangalam, in Tamil Nadu, by A g r i c u l t u r a l a n d P r o c e s s e d Fo o d Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) registered Vanguard Exports, based in Coimbatore.
Professors from the floriculture department of Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, Coimbatore, helped the exporters with packaging technology to increase the shelf life of the flowers. Farmers were contracted by the exporters to cultivate quality flowers. This also generated jobs for about 130 women and about 30 skilled workers. “Indian community in Dubai and USA would be able to offer fresh flowers to Hindu deities both at home and temples while celebrating religious and cultural festivals after exports of flowers from India continue at regular interval,” the commerce ministry said in a statement. In FY21, fresh cut jasmine flowers and
bouquets, comprising jasmine and other traditional flowers, valued at Rs66.28 crore were exported to countries such as the US, UAE, Singapore, among others. Of which, Rs11.84 crore worth of flowers were sourced from Tamil Nadu and shipped from major airports of Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai. Jasmine (Jasminum Officinale) is one of the most popular flowers found across the world. The scent of Jasmine is synonymous with the splendor of Madurai’s Meenakshi temple. Madurai has emerged as a major market for the malligai grown in the region and has evolved into the ‘Jasmine capital’ of India.
World Maritime theme 2022: New Technologies for Greener Shipping LONDON: “New technologies for greener shipping” has been chosen as the World Maritime theme for 2022, reflecting the need to support a green transition of the maritime sector into a sustainable future, while leaving no one behind. The IMO Council, meeting for its 125th session (28 June-2 July), endorsed the theme following a proposal by IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim. Mr. Lim said the theme would provide an opportunity to focus on the importance of a sustainable maritime sector and the need to build back better and greener in a post pandemic world. “IMO actively supports a greener transition of the shipping sector into a sustainable future, and showcases maritime innovation, research and development, and the demonstration and deployment of new technologies,” Mr. Lim said. “In order to achieve these objectives, partnerships are key, as they allow all parties involved to share and distribute information on best practices and to access resources and general know-how in support of the transition of the maritime sector into a greener and more sustainable future. This theme will allow for a coordinated outreach and communications campaign by all stakeholders to highlight IMO initiatives to make shipping greener”, Mr. Lim said. This theme provides an opportunity to focus on the importance of a sustainable maritime sector and the need to build back
better and greener in a post pandemic world. The theme will allow for a range of activities to delve into specific topics related to promotion of inclusive innovation and uptake of new technologies to support the needs for a greener transition of the maritime sector, especially in the context of developing countries, and in particular the small island developing States (SIDS) and least developed countries (LDCs). The theme is linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 13 and 14 on climate action and sustainable use of the oceans, seas and marine resources; SDG 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure; and SDG 17, which highlights the importance of partnerships and implementation to achieve these goals. IMO’s Department of Partnerships and Projects (DPP) was established in 2020 to ser ve as the gateway for developing partnership opportunities with a wide range of external partners, including IMO Member States, UN agencies, financial institutions, NGOs, IGOs and the private sector. Decarbonization, marine plastic litter and biofouling are among the topic areas
already being addressed by the major p r o j e c t s o f I M O, i n c l u d i n g G M N , GloFouling Partnerships, G r e e n Vo y a g e 2 0 5 0 a n d G l o L i t t e r Partnerships. All of these projects aim to support and promote innovation and green technologies. World Maritime Day Parallel Events In view of the current restrictions and uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Council agreed that the planned 2021 World Maritime Day Parallel Event be postponed to 2022 and that all future events be also postponed by one more year. As a result of this decision, the World Maritime Day Parallel Event would be celebrated in South Africa in 2022; the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2023; the Russian Federation in 2024; and the United Arab Emirates in 2025.
International Chamber of Shipping hails release of Ever Given LONDON: The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has welcomed the settlement r e a c h e d between the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and Shoei Kisen Kaisha Ltd., owner of the Ever Given – the ship which became stranded in the Suez Canal in March 2021 – which means the ship and its crew can now continue on its journey. At a ceremony in the Suez town of Ismailia on Wednesday, an official contract was signed permitting the ship to leave the Great Bitter Lake section of the canal, where it had been impounded by the SCA after being re-floated on March 29th. ICS notes with relief that the mainly Indian crew are now able to be relieved. ICS
thanks all parties for their cooperation during the negotiation process. Guy Platten, secretary general of ICS, commented: “We are grateful for the sake of the ship’s crew that the parties have reached a successful settlement. “ You cannot put a price on the wellbeing of seafarers. The Ever Given crew is now free to continue their vital role in the global supply chain, and also travel home to their loved ones after three months of uncertainty. “The Ever Given incident shines a light on the importance of shipping to the global supply chain and the vital role that seafarers play in supporting the 14 trillion USD worth of trade each year. “I am proud of the way that ICS has been able to work quietly behind the
scenes to bring the parties together and reach a mutually agreeable settlement. This is good news for the Egyptian authorities, good news for the owners and importantly good news for the crew. “The Suez incident cost $5.1 billion a day in world trade, however, this was a drop in the bucket in comparison to the financial and emotional costs that the entire industry has been having to deal with due to the draconian travel restrictions imposed on seafarers by all governments. Now that the Ever Given issue has been successfully concluded we must not forget the 1.5 million seafarers across the world. “There are many lessons to be learned from the in-depth inquiry still underway, but we are pleased to see the Ever Given sailing again.”

CBIC upgrades platform for AEO ling NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has unveiled the upgraded version of online filing of Authorised Economic Operators (AEO) T2 and T3 applications platform, www.aeoindia.gov.in, where the AEO web application will also be accessible. The advanced online filing facility for AEOs opened recently and is designed to
ensure continuous real-time and digital monitoring of physically filed AEO T2 and AEO T3 applications for timely intervention and expedience, a statement issued by CBIC said. The AEO application processing for AEO T1 on www.aeoindia.gov.in has been functional since December 2018, however the upgraded version of the portal has been introduced to ease the proceedings for users.
AEO certification is a globally recognised quality indicator that helps in improving the security of the supply chain. The companies which have AEO certification are considered as a safe and secure trading partner. In India, AEO certification was implemented in 2011 and there are three tiers of AEO certification, namely AEO T1, AEO T2 and AEO T3 for importers and exporters.
Warehousing attracts record Rs 5,500 crore from investors in Q2 2021 : JLL India MUMBAI: Warehousing and logistics emerged as the most preferred real estate asset class for institutional investors, pipping the all-time favourite commercial office segment for the first time during April-June 2021. The segment attracted an all-time high of $743 million (more than Rs 5,500 crore) in investments, accounting for more than half of the $1.36 billion attracted during the second quarter. The flurry of investments in warehousing helped attract $1.36 billion (over Rs 10,100 crore) to India’s commercial real estate market during Q2 2021, making it the most active second quarter in the last five years. Of the total, warehousing accounted for 55%, followed by 20% in retail, 17% in office and 8% in residential, JLL India said. The consultancy attributed the rise in warehousing to the increasing shift towards online shopping from discretionary to essentials. “Major global
funds have invested with warehousing developers and operators as scale and regional footprint are key differentiators in the sector,” it said. Data suggests that between 2005-16, warehousing and logistics attracted around $100 million. There were a few other deals, which have not been reported publicly due to joint ventures or deals by investment platforms. However, after the introduction of the Goods and Service Tax (GST) in 2017, the segment grew exponentially. Between 2017 to H1 2021, it attracted a record $2.14 billion, or roughly Rs 16,000 crore. Investments in April-June 2021 are the highest received by the segment in any quarter of a calendar year since 2005, which is mainly attributable to the $700 m i l l i o n B l a c k s t o n e d e a l . I n M a y, Blackstone announced acquisition of Embassy Industrial Parks, a JV of Warburg Pincus and Embassy that controls 22 million sq ft of Grade-A
warehousing in major industrial hubs including Bangalore and Delhi. Besides, 2021 marked the rise of defensive sectors in real estate like warehousing & logistics and data centres. JLL India country head Radha Dhir said the first half of 2021 saw investments of $2.7 billion in real estate, which is 53% of the total investments in 2020. “Relaxing lockdowns during the first three months of 2021 also gave investors a first-hand experience of the post-pandemic world. This led to risk re-rating and asset allocations witnessed a subsequent change in Q2 2021,” she said. Though the economic dent created by the second wave will lead to slower growth in 2021, investments in real estate are expected to stay strong through the year. Defensive sectors like warehousing and data centres are likely to gain centre stage, while office assets will gain interest with more visibility on work from office trends, JLL India said.

The signing of this LoE marks annother milestone in India’s efforts to enhance regional connectivity under the “Neighbourhood First” policy. Background of Rail Services Agreement (RSA) – 2004 and LoE. 1. The Rail Services Agreement was executed on 21.05.2004 between Ministry of Railways, Government of India and Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Supplies (now Ministry of Commerce), His Majesty’s Government of Nepal (now Govt. of Nepal) for introduction of freight train services between these two countries to and from Birgunj (Nepal) via Raxaul (India). This is an agreement which guides movement between India and Nepal by rail. The rationale for this Agreement is that there was no rail movement prior to this between the two countries and hence a framework was required for operational and commercial aspects and procedure for customs clearances for rail bound cargo. Since then large various developments have taken place which require changes to the Rail Services
Agreement. 2. There is a provision in Article 1.4 of the RSA that “the Agreement shall be reviewed every five years and may be modified by the Contracting Parties by mutual consent. 3. For effecting amendments in the relevant Articles to RSA , L etters of Exchange (LoE) are signed from both sides. In the past, there have been amendments to RSA through LoE on three occasions. First such amendment to RSA-2004 was effected through Letter of Exchange (LoE) signed on 21st May, 2004. Second LoE was signed on 1 7 t h D e c e m b e r, 2 0 0 8 a t t h e t i m e o f introduction of bilateral cargo between the two countries which required introduction of new customs procedure and Third LoE was signed on 19/20.02.2016 enabling rail transit traffic to/from Vishakhapatnam Port in addition to existing provision of rail transportation through Kolkata / Haldia Port. It may be noted that the current LoE has been finalized and signed on 28th June, 2021 by Govt. of Nepal which was acknowledged by Ministry of Railways (Govt. of India) by signing the LoE on 29.06.2021. It comes into effect from 09.07.2021 after the formal exchange of Note Verbales and signed copies of LoE.

Aviation Ministry focuses on cargo-related Infrastructure NEW DELHI: The civil aviation ministry has set up a sub-group comprising members from domestic air cargo agents body DACAAI, AAI logistics arm AAICLAS, various airlines and a joint venture airport, for suggesting ways and means to improve cargo-related infrastructure issues, a statement said recently. The sub-group will go into matters that are hindering the growth of domestic cargo by air, the Domestic Air Cargo Agents Association of India (DACAAI) said in its statement. The association on Monday hosted a virtual conference (VC) on ”Rebooting Aviation-DACCAI-Issues and Challenges of Domestic Air Cargo Logistics”, which was attended by Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri as Chief Guest. “With regard to suggestion of DACAAI for improving infrastructure and other issues concerning domestic air cargo, he (the minister) instantly constituted a sub-
group consisting of DACAAI, AAICLAS, airline and JV airport representatives to go into matters that were hindering growth of domestic cargo by air,” the statement stated. It also said the minister emphasised that the sub-group will study all issues and challenges facing domestic air cargo operations and come up with recommendations with a view to facilitate and increase volumes of domestic cargo by air. The sub-group is expected to submit its report within 15 days, according to the statement. Besides the Minister, Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola, Special Secretary in the Commerce Ministry, Pawan Agarwal, SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh, and budget carrier IndiGo Chief Commercial Officer William Boulter as well as senior functionary of the DCAAI also participated in the VC. According to the statement, Singh told
the minister that the airlines would like to have self-handling of domestic air cargo with a view to improve transit times and efficiency and bring down costs of logistics. It added that a new freighter policy with concessional landing, parking and cheaper aircraft fuel would help the domestic sector exploit its huge potential. Boulter supported SpiceJet”s view on self-handling, saying that direct handling by airlines would bring in plenty of advantages and benefits to expand the domestic cargo industry, the statement stated. DA C A A I P r e s i d e n t A m i t B a j a j suggested the government to remove anomalies in the GST rates on domestic air cargo vis-à-vis the ones applicable on road transportation. An 18 per cent GST rate levied on domestic air cargo acts as an added cost of operation that makes domestic air carriage unviable and move to road and other modes of transport, Bajaj said.
AP Chambers seeks industry status for logistics sector HYDERABAD: The AP Chambers has appealed to BJP national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh to accord industry status to the logistics sector. Mr. Arun Singh was in the city to participate in an ‘Intellectuals’ Meet’ organised by the party here. AP Chambers chair man Sudhir Mulagada and vice-chairman K.R.B. Prakash made some suggestions on behalf of the members to facilitate Ease of Doing Business (EODB), and submitted a memorandum to Mr. Singh on the demands of the trade.
They sought exemption from capital gains tax on sale of assets to clear bank loans or to close Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) to help small entrepreneurs, who are selling assets to clear bank loans. The financial package announced to tourism stakeholders by the Government of India would benefit only those agents who are registered with the Ministry of Tourism and would hardly reach about 5% of the actual stakeholders. They sought that all travel and tourism stakeholders registered under GST and contributing to the exchequer should be considered for the relief package. The
other demands include: release of TDS refunds to all MSME units on priority basis, reduce the high excise duty on fuel and also do away with the daily revision of fuel prices and resort to price changes once a month to facilitate EODB in the execution of contracts, bringing fuel under the ambit of GST, complete waiver of penal demurrage charges , being levied for delays in the unloading of inward BCN rakes at Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) by the East Coast Railways (E Co R) from May 5, 2021 till the lifting of curfew and interest subvention to prompt-paying MSMEs.

JNPT Commences Trial Operations at its Newly Built Coastal Berth MUMBAI: Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), one of India's premier container handling ports, flagged a trial operation at the newly constructed coastal berth. The maiden trial run commenced with the handling of 'ONGC Offshore Supply Vessel (OSV) GREATSHIP DHRITI' in the presence of Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, JNPT, and Shri Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS, Deputy Chairman, JNPT.
To provide an impetus for coastal cargo movement, JNPT undertook the project of constructing a dedicated berth for coastal shipping under the ‘Sagarmala’ program of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways. The construction of the coastal berth was completed in November 2020. This berth will provide better infrastructure for coastal shipping and decongest rail and road networks, ensuring cost-competitive and effective multi-modal transportation solutions. Speaking on the first trial run, JNPT Chairman Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, said, “The construction of the dedicated berth is in tune with the government’s policy to promote coastal shipping to shift freight from road to an environmentfriendly and cost-effective mode of transport. The coastal berth will aid the smooth and faster coastal movement of cargo through a green channel. Apart from meeting the objectives of the Ministry, the coastal berth will help increasing coastal shipping share in the domestic cargo movement and help the EXIM community.” The Coastal Berth at JNPT is expected to handle about 2.5 million tonnes of coastal cargo like break bulk, dry bulk etc. With back up area of 11 hectares for cargo storage yard, setting up of silos are planned for storage of cement which will enable faster turnaround of vessels. JNPT systematically invests in developing an ecosystem for providing new opportunities for the Export Import community and the stakeholders to obtain economic efficiencies.
