• The provisional Operating income increased by Rs.364.36croresascomparedtopreviousyear,whichispitched atRs.1971.93croresonaccountofincreasetrafficby8.23%.

• During the year, the port has achieved provisional Net Surplus (Before appropriation & Tax) of Rs.1893.01 crores.

(i) Cashless

As per Govt. of India’s directive, DPA has initiated the online payment & receipt and accordingly 100% payments are made cash less. To promote the digital transaction POS machines are installed at different collection points at A.O. Building,CDC,KandlaandGopalpuriHospital.

E) Achievements related to General Administration Department:-

1. Amendment in Recruitment Rules for Class – III & IVemployees,whichhasopenupanavenuetodepartmental candidatestoriseintothehierarchy.

2. A decision to distribute uniform and school kit to the students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kandla in each Academic Session. About 285 children, who belongs to the economically weaker section of the society and slum area, havegotbenefitted.

3. Kendriya Vidyalaya has been opened in the premises in the Gopalpuri Colony for the employees children / grandchildren / children of CISF personnel and employees children of other Central Government and State

Government departments. The school has started from Class – I to V and it will increase every year by one class on incremental basis. The tender has also been invited to construct a new building in the Gopalpuri Colony with the costofRs.23crores.

4. During the year 50 Nos. of Class – III & IV employeeshavebeenpromoted,whichisalsoarecord.

5. As a part of special campaign 2.0, the record keeping system in the Port has begun and all the records have been kept properly in a compactors indexing the records.

• 3rd Position in the Raajbhasha Kriti Puraskar 202122atNewDelhiforusingHindiOfficialLanguage.

• Samudra Manthan Award 2022 for the category "MajorPortoftheYear(WestCoast)".

• 10th Grand Gala Edition of “Gujarat Star Awards”for"BestPortoftheYear(Non-Containerised)", organized byDailyShippingTimes.

• Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla bagged the 1st Prize amongst the 88 participating organisations for showcasing the Floats/Raths in the Cheti Chand Procession organized on the occasion of Sindhi New Year, CHETICHAND..
