• Deendayal Port has handled more than 137 MMT of cargo during FY 2022-23, thereby registering the highest cargo throughput in its history. It is also the first and the only Major port to handlemorethan137MMTinafinancialyear.
• No other Major port in the country (except DPA) has handled more than 100 MMT of cargoforeightconsecutiveyears.
• The port has stood first among all Major ports of India for the 16th consecutive year, in termsofcargohandling.
• Theporthashandledatotalof3346vessels duringFY2022-23,whichisthehighestinitshistory. Ithadhandled3141vesselsinFY2021-22.

M.V. ANASTASIA K has sailed from Cargo Jetty - 15A on 13-06-2022 with a draft of 14.5 Mtrs, which is the highest ever sailing draft achieved in the Kandla Harbour area. The vessel, handled by MYSTIC SHIPPING PVT. LTD., has loaded 75,200 MT of Aggregate in bulk shipped by CHOWDHURY ASSOCIATES. The vessel was destined to theportofChittagonginBangladesh.

GCL MAHANADI 04/04/2022. DPA, Kandla recorded a growth of 17.22% over the corresponding period of the last fiscal by handling 70.14 MMTcargoinfirsttwoquartersofthecurrentfinancialyear. Incidentally DPA had handled 59.83 MMT cargo till 30-09-2021.

DPA Kandla surpassed its own record by Berthing a Maximum Draft Vessel when MV BELLEMAR berthed at CJ-16, draft of 14.2M inside Kandla Harbour, with 76610 MT of Raw Sugar from Brazil. Chairman appreciated the Team Marine for successful berthing of such a high Dead Weight Vessel.
