Q&A

Panther Group CEO BRIAN FLETCHER Brian Fletcher is no stranger to the hospitality and gaming industry, with many years’ experience of running a business under his belt.

Brian Fletcher was a Director of the Panthers Group for 5 years prior to his appointment as Chairman of the club in July 2015. He was appointed the role of Chief Executive Officer in March 2016.

Prior to this role, Brian was the Chief Executive Officer of Hawkesbury Race Club for more than 25 years and played a major role in developing the club into one of the most successful and progressive Race Clubs in Australia.

He is also the Chairman of the Foundation for Disabled Sportsmen and Sportswomen as well as a Victor Chang Foundation ambassador.

1.0 How did you first become involved with the Penrith Panthers?

Prior to being invited onto the Board by the then Chairman Don Feltis in 2011, as CEO of Hawkesbury Race Club, a Gold Sponsor of Panthers for many years, I had involvement with Panthers through events and social functions. I then made a progression on the Board to being appointed Chairman. Being offered the position of Panthers 4 #PANTHERPRIDE

Group CEO was an opportunity that was too exciting to pass up.

3.0 What does a typical day at work involve?

Macquarie to be a vibrant city. Following our recent $9m renovations to Port Macquarie Panthers, we are very proud of the Club and are very thankful to the Members for their continued support. I always look forward to my visits to Port Macquarie Panthers.

5.0 Panthers Port Macquarie has just undergone renovations?

What other things are on the horizon for the Club?

The immediate capital improvement of Port Macquarie Panthers will be the much needed resealing of the carpark. We are also looking at upgrading the back of the club to include a new family area with play equipment for the kids.

6.0 Are there any plans for Penrith Panthers to play any games in Port Macquarie?

Presently, we only have permission from the NRL to take one home game per year away from Penrith Stadium. Thanks to the financial backing from Bathurst City Council, we have a long-term commitment to playing one game per year in Bathurst.

However, for the second year in succession, we will be holding our 2018 pre-

season training camp in Port Macquarie. Our top 7.0 And the winner of 30 NRL squad and senior the 2017 NRL Grand coaching staff will be in the Final will be‌.

Port Macquarie area for four days in January preparing for our 2018 season and holding coaching clinics and player appearances for the Port Macquarie locals.
