General Manager REPORT

MEN’S BOWLING CLUB REPORT

While summer has passed, things are still heating up at your Club Guildford Leagues! As you look through your journal you will see what I mean.

If you wish to play, just turn up 15 minutes before starting time and see the match committee. The bowlers are a friendly crew and are more than willing to make the game enjoyable for all comers.

Coming soon, you will notice that we have a REVAMPED MENU in Guilly’s Restaurant; these additions together with the regularly changing Chef’s Specials means there is always something to tempt your taste buds. During autumn we have some great entertainment coming your way with a variety of artists ranging from Friday Night Live (a great way to wind down from your hectic week) through to full blown production shows featuring some great talents and fabulous memories. Join us to commemorate the ANZAC tradition with a full day’s program including Breakfast, our own Service and many other activities. Our special Senior Members have not been forgotten with a Seniors Festival between Monday 9 April and Friday 13 April. Then of course who could forget Mother’s Day…. We have some great options for you to spoil your Mum including a $3,000.00 raffle on 6 May and Lunch and Dinner on her special day. What a great opportunity to let someone else prepare the meal and do the washing up afterwards. And the youngsters have not been left out with some special School Holiday Fun planned……just for them! If that’s not enough reason for you to make your way to your Club then take the time to look over our Cash & Cars promotion running from March through to May….each month there will be some very happy winners. And that’s what’s hot at your Club. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

A LA N J C ROW General Manager Guildford Leagues Club

Hi from the Men’s bowls and welcome to 2018. The bowling green is open again after renovations over December. Social bowls for men and women, novices and experience players are on again on Mondays and Thursdays. Until the weather cools down games are commencing at 10.30am.

The women’s bowls play on Wednesday mornings. Please contact them for times and availability. Until our new office and meeting room is opened (around June) notifications and contact numbers can be found on the notice board upstairs past the TAB. Both the men’s and women’s bowls are also seeking your support through our club raffles with gift cards as prizes. The women’s raffle is on Friday nights from 6.00pm and drawn just before the major raffle at 7.00pm. The Men’s raffle is on Thursday nights from 6.30pm and is drawn just before the major promotion at 7.30pm. Hope to see you on the greens and in the club.

SNOOKER REPORT

Happy New Year and what a year it will be for anyone interested in snooker and billiards. You may have noticed the major constructions going on behind the restaurant and kid’s play area. Well, it includes a brand new 4 table snooker room. Hopefully it will be up and running by mid-year when members can resume play in our territory. There will be competition nights and social nights galore so keep your eyes out for movement. As the time gets closer there will be more information on Clubs App. If you don’t have the app yet, see the friendly staff in the foyer.

SOCIAL GOLF CLUB Guildford Leagues Social Golf Club are currently looking for golfers of any age or ability to play early on a Sunday morning… Players are required to be members of Guildford Leagues Club to be eligible for the daily prizes and visitors are also welcome. We play a variety of courses in and around the local area. Camden, Lakeside, Shellcove, Woodville and Lynwood are just a few of the courses played throughout the year and BBQs after games are a regular feature. We also have a weekend away every November to places like Nelson Bay, Hunter Valley and Canberra. To make further enquiries, please contact Keith Shelley 9682 1545 or 9332 5105

WOMBAT’S GOLF CLUB The Wombats are looking forward to a great 2018 season. We currently have 33 registered members. With 20/23 hitting off each Tuesday at 6.30 am. We are currently qualifying for the Match Play Championship. We welcome new members and if interested contact: •
