It’s also typical to assume that access to the most advanced medical technology requires driving to a big city. ften imitated, never duplicated. While not the official motto of the Old Village Mercantile, it certainly encapsulates the magical atmosphere only an authentic, 1909 general store can conjure – and one that is on the national historic registry, at that. For over 20 years, Nina Gilliam and her staff have been in the business of creating smiles. In that time, kids who posed for photos in front of the illuminated Christmas tree have since brought their own children to be photographed in the very same spot. And after Thanksgiving this year, Santa will be stopping by from 11-3 every Saturday for pictures!

Although many associate the Old Village Mercantile with its candy, for 18 years, Nina has run an award-winning coffee bar.

Five years ago she added homemade, premium artisan ice cream, which has also become incredibly popular. In fact, each month a new flavor is unveiled, with cinnamon and hot chocolate both slated for December, and strawberry-jalapeno set to heat up January. ine years ago, on Thanksgiving Day, Stan Janis quit smoking. On a whim, he and a few family members decided to try vaping, and after a single puff, he knew he was through with cigarettes. It’s important to understand that vaping is a nicotine-delivery system, so those who do not use tobacco products should not begin vaping. It’s also not a guaranteed solution for those trying to quit smoking or dipping. It’s simply what worked for Stan, which is why he has made it the mission of The Shed Vapes to help those trying to reduce or eliminate their nicotine consumption.

Stan is open for business 365 days a year, and purposefully maintains hours friendly to a variety of work schedules. He also provides training and product advice for those new to vaping.
