Utah’s history is permeated with heroes who fought in and supported wars abroad, who came here for work and improved our national parks, who founded our arts organizations, sports teams and educational institutions, who farmed the land, who built our economy, and who experienced extreme hardships and rose out of them still fighting.
While only a few of the events worthy of attention from the last 125 years can fit inside this magazine, we hope you’ll enjoy remembering some of Utah’s most notable — and sometimes infamous — historic events, and perhaps read about some you didn’t know happened.
