Customers beyond Sanpete County attracted to Beck’s

During the last 60 years, a television sales and repair shop opened on Mt. Pleasant’s Main Street has grown into a furniture store that attracts cus tomers from far beyond Sanpete County.
The store has even attracted customers from St. George. Customers who shop at Beck’s realize there are great deals there, and word gets out, she said.

Beck’s Home Furnish ings began as Beck’s TV, a business opened by Allen Beck, in 1959 at 140 W. Main in Mt. Pleasant. The business offered televi sions for sale as well as repair services.
Allen’s son Mark Beck began operating Beck’s TV in 1974, with Mark’s wife Laura joining him in running the business after they were married in 1976.
Over time, and through its association with Brand Source, an independent retailer co-op, the business added premium-brand appliances, furniture and mattresses to its assort ment, all supported by its professional sales, delivery and installation services.
The name of the business was changed in the 1980s to Beck’s Home Furnishings. In 1994, Beck’s moved to its current location at 14 W. Main.
In August of 2019, Beck’s Home Furnish ings was named the 2019 BrandSource Dealer of the Year for the Rocky Moun tain Region and honored for their commitment to excellence in the retail in dustry at the BrandSource National Convention and Expo in Dallas, Texas.
