The Miss Pleasant Grove Scholarship Competition was held on May 22, 2021. The mission to prepare great women for the world and prepare the world for great women came to fruition for 12 very knowledgeable, talented and well-spoken young women from our community.
The candidates competed in the areas of private interview, talent, social impact initiative, on-stage question and evening wear. During the evening, more than $12,000 in scholarship and prize money was awarded.
Haylie Howe, daughter of Alan and Koleen Howe, earned the title of Miss Pleasant Grove 2021. Haylie has lived in Pleasant Grove all her life and is excited to represent the city. She is thrilled and honored to be Miss Pleasant Grove 2021.
Haylie has danced for more than 15 years and was a member of the drill team and dance company at Pleasant Grove High School. Haylie graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2020 and has completed her first year at Brigham Young University.
Haylie is looking forward to being a part of the 100-year celebration of Strawberry Days this year. She is going to spend the next year serving the amazing community she loves and teaching young children about the importance of literacy through her social impact initiative “Today a Reader, Tomorrow a Leader.”
Other members of the 2021 royalty are First Attendant Kameryn Christensen and Second Attendant Ryleigh Paulin. Kameryn is the daughter of Aaron and Brooke Christensen. Ryleigh is the daughter of Genell Paulin.
