Wendy Talley has been the secretary at Alcorn Central High School for 14 years. Before that, she worked in the Corinth School System for three years. “My favorite part of the job, the part I enjoy most, is being around the kids and being able to help them when I can,” said Talley. When’s she’s not at work at Alcorn Central, Talley enjoys playing in a local ladies’ tennis league and going to the ballgames and activities of her two children — 18-year-old Riley, a student at Northeast Mississippi Community College, and 13-year-old Brady, who attends Alcorn Central Middle School, where he plays basketball and baseball.
