With funding for fiscal 2017 on the line, Jacinto Foundation Executive Director Beth Whitehurst had a frank discussion with the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors in Thursday’s budget work session. The possibility of pulling

funding from the foundation was floated in a prior work session. The foundation is seeking level funding of $24,578. “I guess I am naive,” Whitehurst told the board. “It never occurred to me that the Alcorn County Board of Supervisors would give us less money than we needed and then complain

that we were not doing enough with what we had.” Supervisors expressed concerns about deterioration of the property similar to those that have been aired publicly a number of times since June 2015. Board President Jimmy Tate Waldon said he doesn’t want to see the courthouse go

the way of the recently departed Corinth Machinery building. Second District Supervisor James Voyles said he has been by the courthouse property almost every day since he was 15. “It is a fact that it has just deteriorated over the last 30 years,” he said. “It has really changed from what I saw as a

Oﬀering a day of outdoor recreation, the inaugural “Heroes Hunt” will give dove hunters something to coo about. Hosted by the Alcorn County Chapter of the Delta Waterfowl, the hunt will be presented free of charge to local heroes from noon until 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept.11. “We invite all Alcorn County veterans (wounded, retired and active), members of the Corinth Police Department, the Alcorn County Sheriﬀ’s Department, EMS, air-evac, firefighters and other first responders to join us,” said Chairman Franz Schnabl of the Alcorn County Delta Waterfowl Chapter. “All participants will need to secure a Tennessee hunting license before joining the dove hunt.” Held in a 10-acre area just minutes from Corinth at Quail Hollow Ranch in Ramer, Tenn., hunters may harvest no more than 15 dove which is the maximum bag limit allowed in the state of Tennessee. There is no limit on collared dove. Doves not readily identifiable as collared doves count toward the mourning dove limit. In addition to the hunt, a free barbecue lunch prepared by Danny Montgomery will be served at noon. A three-vehicle wreck on Monday morning sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries. It happened shortly before 9 a.m. at the busy U.S. Highway 72 and Harper Road intersection. According to Corinth Police

Capt. Ben Gann, Kimberly Snodgrass of Iuka was west bound in a Nissan SUV on Highway 72. As she crossed the intersection, Daniel Cole of Corinth made a left turn from Highway 72 on to North Harper Road in a Chevrolet truck. Cole’s truck made impact with Snodgrass’ SUV. The two vehicles came to a

stop against a third vehicle – a GMC SUV driven by Charles Dobbins of Corinth. Snodgrass complained of injuries and was taken by ambulance to Magnolia Regional Health Center, according to Gann. In addition to Corinth Police and Magnolia EMS, a Corinth Fire Department unit also responded to the wreck scene.

The general election ballot for November will soon be complete as the final stretch of candidate qualifying begins. Qualifying for three seats on the county school board opened last Wednesday and

runs through Sept. 9. Several prospective candidates have picked up paperwork but none have been turned in as of Monday afternoon, according to the circuit clerk’s oﬃce. It’s a rare occasion for the majority of the county school board to be up for election. It is

MICHIE, Tenn. — The healthy example of students drinking water from a filtered drinking fountain has spread across McNairy County. Michie Elementary School is the first school in the nation to have the fountains throughout their school. The McNairy County Board of Education voted last week to install two fountains at all schools in the county. Plans are to have the fountains installed by Christmas. Michie replaced their water fountains in January with the

Town mourns deaths of couples in plane crash The Associated Press

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. â€” Three married couples killed in the crash of a small airplane in Alabama all lived in the university town of Oxford, Mississippi, where city flags were lowered Monday as residents grappled with the loss of so many lives at one time. â€œI donâ€™t even know what to say,â€? said Oxford Mayor George â€œPatâ€? Patterson. Friends, relatives and oďŹƒcials identified the

dead as dentists Jason Farese and Lea Farese; dentist Michael Perry and his wife, Kim Perry, a nurse practitioner at the University of Mississippi; and dentist Austin Poole and his wife, Angie Poole. The three couples were parents of 11 children total. The Oxford Eagle reported that the plane went down while the six were returning home to the city of 19,000 following a dental seminar in central Florida. â€œItâ€™s just a sad day,â€? said

Patterson, who knew all the victims. â€œThe families were invested with their time and talents in the community.â€? The Federal Aviation Administration said a twin-engine Piper carrying the six left Kissimmee, Florida, and crashed while trying to land in Tuscaloosa on Sunday morning. He commuted about 60 miles to a dental oďŹƒce in Clarksdale, where Mayor Bill Luckett, an attorney, said he had known the couple for years. â€œAustin and Angie have both been clients of mine as a lawyer and have been friends of mine,â€? JACKSON â€” Mississippi after-school programs that had been expecting federal subsidies to serve 29,000 students arenâ€™t getting any money for now, after state Department of Education officials mishandled grant money and tried to cover up their mistakes. Some programs that had received funding for years could lose it as the state tries to figure out how to repay up to $19 million in federal money. Department spokeswoman Jean Cook said Friday three employees had been fired, but de-

clined to name them or their positions, saying the department isnâ€™t required to discuss personnel issues under state law. State Superintendent Carey Wright informed the state board of education during a special meeting Thursday of the deficit in the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. She ordered all program providers to spend no money until further notice. The state gets $14 million in the federal budget year ending Sept. 30 to pay for after-school enrichment. Wright told board members that employees

in the departmentâ€™s Office of Federal Programs was notified in April that it was allowing programs to overspend their budgets by $2 million. But instead of making cuts, the oďŹƒce began dipping into a federal Title I aid for poor children to cover the shortfalls, breaking federal rules in the process. By July, when federal programs oďŹƒcials told higher-ups, it had improperly spent $11.6 million. Wright said potentially the department will have to make up another $7.5 million that was committed for August. â€œItâ€™s not an allowable expense for Title I, and

The last thing that I would ever want is to impact negatively any child in the state.â€? Wright said the state is likely to zero out grants for some programs that got money in previous years and cut funding for others. She said the department will try to preserve funding for programs serving students with low academic achievement, but will seek to evaluate whether after-school programs are helping academic achievement. The superintendent

said federal oďŹƒcials have yet to tell Mississippi how to fix the mistake. â€œWeâ€™re having to work with the United States Department of Education to determine what our options are and in doing so we are told itâ€™s going to take a little bit of time,â€? she said. Wright said new state accounting software has hampered the departmentâ€™s ability to monitor and manage federal money. She said the department is updating software to better manage grants, will expand financial oversight, and will audit spending from all federal money the department receives.

She spearheaded the drive at Michie to replace the old fountains. The water fountains are $1,700 apiece. The bottle filling station provides a rapid fill of water to quench thirst and minimize plastic bottle waste in the environment and is three times faster than a standard drinking fountain. A good thing about the filtered water fountain is it reduces Chlorine, odor and lead. The fact the majority of the school build-

ings are old means the filtered system provides cleaner drinking water. â€œThe water does taste better and is a reason the students enjoy drinking it so much,â€? said McGee. Dr. Alred said that school is two weeks old and he has not seen one problem with the fountains. â€œWe brag on the students for drinking the water,â€? said Dr. Alred. â€œIâ€™m impressed they are drinking healthy. They keep the bottles at their desks and can sip on it all day.â€? McGee said the school raised money for the fountains in various ways. PCA-Counce bought two of the fountains, a Colored Run, a road block, and the students brought in redeemable box tops. The Tennessee Department of Health has reported the stateâ€™s adult obesity rate is the second highest among all the states and the diabetes rank is 14th among the states.

Booneville Man charged with domestic violence BOONEVILLE â€” William Royal Roberts, 45 of Booneville was arrested and charged with domestic violence/ aggravated assault (strangulation). Tippah Co. 11-month-old killed in Tippah Co. wreck TIPPAH COUNTY â€” According to the Tupelo Daily Journal, an 11-month-old died in a head-on collision in Tippah County on Friday night. The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the wreck on Highway 15 near Tiplersville at about 8 p.m. It appeared that Jennalee Lyles, 25, of Falkner, was traveling south in a Ford Fusion when a Ford F-350 driven by Danny Banuelos, 28, of Tiplersville, crossed over the center line and collided head-on with Lylesâ€™ car. Sikes Lyles, 11 months, died at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash. MHP says he was properly fastened in a child restraint. Jennalee Lyles was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. She is the wife of Walnut High School boys basketball coach Paul Lyles. Â

STARKVILLEÂ â€” Former NBA forward Travis Outlaw has been arrested on a felony marijuana charge. Spokeswoman S. Williams told The Associated Press on Sunday that the 31-year-old has no comment. The Columbus Dispatch reported that he was arrested and released Tuesday on $10,000 bond. The Starkville Daily News reported that he turned himself in. A July 15 indictment accuses Outlaw of possessing more than 250 grams (nearly 9 ounces) but less than 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) of the drug. Media focus on Trump; voters focus on Clinton BY DICK MORRIS AND EILEEN MCGANN Columnists

While the media love to focus on the perceived “gaffes” and “blunders” of Donald Trump, the voters are increasingly more interested in the unfolding evidence of a payfor-play bribery scheme at the Clinton Foundation. The nature of the scheme became evident earlier this week in a newly released email from Doug Band, President Bill Clinton’s former body man, to Uma Abedin asking her to intervene to set up a meeting between a big Clinton Foundation donor and the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon. The donor, Lebanese businessman Gilbert Chagoury, gave $5 million to the Clinton Foundation and pledged another billion to the Clinton Global Initiative. Pay for play. In another example, less well-publicized, the country of Algeria donated $400,000 to the Foundation just as Hillary Clinton was pressing, successfully, for completion of an arms deal with Algeria worth more than 100 million dollars. And in Washington, D.C., a young man who served on the staff of the Democratic National Committee, Seth Rich, was murdered in the street. His wallet, cash, credit cards and watch were not taken. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said, in an interview that the murder showed the “risks” people took to bring information to public view on WikiLeaks, prompting internet speculation that Rich was the source of the leaked Democratic emails that so embarrassed the Clinton campaign on the verge of the Democratic Convention. The fact is that Trump has been closing the gap with Clinton in the polls. The Los Angeles Times has him only one point behind while Bloomberg has him narrowing her lead from 11 to six points. Rasmussen puts Clinton only three ahead. The Trump campaign has shed Republican Party establishment types even as Clinton has lost Bernie Sanders voters. The most recent Fox News poll showed eight million Democrats defecting from Clinton even as another eight million Republicans left Trump. This realignment is being billed in the biased media as indicating that Republicans cannot stand Trump! In this story and in others, the media is playing a game by demeaning Trump’s prospects and running articles that he may drop out of the race despite his recent success. A staff conference between Trump campaign aides and people from the Republican National Committee has been billed as a “come to Jesus” meeting. But Trump won’t even be in attendance – a rare example of religious conversion in absentia! Donald Trump is alive and could well win in November, confounding his critics. Both major political parties have changed STARKVILLE — Let me get this straight – Democrats who were “conservatives” from Reconstruction until over a century later in Mississippi weren’t really Democrats because the party has evolved. But “conservative” Republicans today are both responsible for Mississippi’s state government woes after gaining full control of it only in 2012 and also are – in the same context – really Republicans not given credit for a corresponding evolution? Oh, yes, and the state of Mississippi’s public education system, public health care, mental health care, transportation and infrastructure, corrections, and a host of other responsibilities of government were in really great shape before the GOP took control and ruined it? Talk about whistling Dixie. When I wrote recently about what I called “the Neshoba narrative” by high profile Democrats at the annual campground fair and in other political forums over the summer, I had no idea that it would engage some of my fellow scribes to the extent that it apparently did. State Democrats have argued – and from a strategic standpoint it’s a smart argument – that if you have

a problem in state government in Mississippi right now, blame it on the RepubliSid Salter cans who are in power. Columnist One forceful Democrat has argued that the state’s current Republican leaderships should “own” the problems that have occurred on their watch. My column suggested that from a historical standpoint, such ownership of those problems was a far more complex and nuanced proposition. Problems that confront state government today are neither ones that developed recently nor are they problems that didn’t exist when Democrats held total state political control. In reality, for a number of state Democrats now hewing to the “Neshoba narrative” line, the policies targeted are policies that a number of Democratic lawmakers actually voted to adopt. But the more specious argument is the suggestion that while the Democratic Party has evolved and changed and that it’s “conservatives” rather than “Democrats” who should own their portion of responsibility for Mississippi’s pol-

icy problems of longstanding. Again, history suggests otherwise. After the Republican Reconstruction government established in Mississippi in 1865 and led almost exclusively by black public officials was deposed by Mississippi Democrats in the 1875 elections, the Republican Party in Mississippi faded into irrelevance for a time. But in 1924, enter an ambitious young black attorney from Ebenezer, Mississippi, named Perry W. Howard – the son of former - who would dominate the Mississippi “Black-and-Tan” Republican Party for the next 35 years. Essentially, the state’s GOP operated out of a black lawyer’s mailbox during that time. Mississippi authors Jere Nash and Andy Taggart chronicled Howard’s leadership of the state’s GOP in their book “Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2008.” In that account, Nash and Taggart wrote: “Republicans in Mississippi during this time rarely fielded candidates for office, spending more time fight among themselves than in recruiting candidates for public office.” Between 1927 and 1960, Howard’s Mississippi Black-and-Tan Republican Party battled for recognition from the national GOP

with so-called “Lily-White Republicans” — a battle eventually won by the LilyWhite faction led by Mississippi Republican pioneer Wirt Yerger Jr. While the old Black-and-Tan GOP in Mississippi was about little more than controlling and brokering GOP patronage, Yerger’s group was all about growing a viable, credible alternative to the state’s formerly monolithic Democratic Party. The truth is that both major political parties evolved and changed. The argument that the Democratic Party of today looks very diﬀerent than the party that existed in 1890 or 1948 or even 1968 is absolutely true – but the same should be said of Mississippi’s GOP. Poverty, insularity, racial mistrust, and an agrarian economy that was slow to change are non-partisan problems. The current Mississippi GOP indeed is in charge now and bears significant responsibility for the state’s ultimate destination. But it’s both fair and accurate to note that many of these vexing issues – at the core taxing and spending decisions – are issues that weren’t solved under decades of Democratic leadership, either. Lawsuit was long time in the making JACKSON — When the U.S. Justice Department sued Mississippi last week over adult mental health services, it might as well have delivered the legal papers with a neon yellow sticky note saying: We told you this was coming. The Justice Department has sued about a dozen states over the way they provide services for people with mental illnesses, and Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says he has been talking to federal oﬃcials for several years to try to head oﬀ litigation in this state. The federal suit says Mississippi has failed to provide community-based services that would enable people with mental illnesses to have meaningful interaction with friends and family and to make decisions about work and daily life. “When individuals with mental illness get the services they need and the care they deserve, they can live and work in their own communities,” Vanita Gupta, head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, said in a statement. Gupta also said Mississippi has been forcing people

with mental illness “to cycle in and out of state hospitals, emergency rooms and Emily jails.” Advocacy Wagster Pettus groups, including the Capitol Dome nonprofit Families As Allies, have asked Mississippi legislators for years to put more money into community-based services that would help people maintain jobs and family ties while getting the help they need. In a 2010 lawsuit that’s still pending, the Southern Poverty Law Center said Mississippi illegally sends mentally ill children to institutions instead of caring for them at home, violating the Medicaid Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In December 2011, the Justice Department issued a report saying Mississippi was failing to provide appropriate services to people with mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Department of Mental Health is on the long list of agencies receiving sig-

nificantly less money than requested during recent years of faltering state revenues. Budgets will remain lean as the Republican-led Legislature continues pushing for tax cuts and smaller government. Because of budget reductions for the year starting July 1, Department of Mental Health director Diana Mikula announced service cuts, including closure of a 29-bed acute medical psychiatric unit at the State Hospital at Whitfield. Mikula’s announcement made her the target of a top budget writer, Republican Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves. “The Department of Mental Health is an agency that has done a lot of complaining to you all, and talked about shutting down beds,” Reeves said to reporters during a news conference in July. “But they’re doing that just a year after spending $1 million on oﬃce furniture.” Adam Moore, the department’s spokesman, responded that Reeves’ assessment was inaccurate. “The budget line item referred to is furniture and equipment, which includes a wide range of items, including mattresses for the

people served in our programs,” Moore said. “It also includes wheelchairs and furniture for cottages as we transition people who have an intellectual and/or developmental disability to a less restrictive environment.” As attorney general, Hood doesn’t help write the state budget. But, as the lone Democrat in statewide oﬃce, he has often said Republicans have the wrong priorities. “Unfortunately, the Legislature this year chose to put money toward big corporate tax cuts rather than meet the needs of those among us who most need our assistance,” Hood said after mental health lawsuit was filed. Hood hasn’t ruled out running for governor in 2019, and with Republican Gov. Phil Bryant limited to two terms, Reeves is gearing up for that race. The battle over mental health funding might provide a preview of the ideological and rhetorical divide voters can expect in the campaign. Thousands flee homes in flood BY MICHAEL KUNZELMAN AND MELINDA DESLATTE Associated Press

BATON ROUGE, La. — Thousands of people in southern Louisiana hunkered down in shelters Monday, forced out of their homes by intense flooding that took many people by surprise. At least six people were killed. The weather had improved from the torrential downpours that began Friday but rivers and creeks in many areas were still way above flood stage, and people downstream eyed the deluge with concern. Across southern Louisiana, residents have been scrambling to get to safety as rivers and creeks burst their banks, swollen from days of heavy rain that in some areas came close to 2 feet over a 48-hour period. Rescuers evacuated more than 20,000 people since the flooding started Friday and more than 10,000 people were in shelters as of late Sunday, according to Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards. In high-water vehicles, boats and helicopters, emergency crews hurried to rescue scores of people and the governor warned it was not over. “I’ve never seen anything like this before,” said Barbara Manuel, 41, speaking on the side of the road as she was about to get in a National Guard vehicle. On Sunday, Manuel saw a little sun, giving her hope that the worst of the flooding was over. But then the skies ripped open, the lights in her house started to flicker and with 3 feet of water outside threatening to come in, she knew it was time to get out with her two children — a 5-yearold daughter and an 8-year-old son. “As long as my kids are safe, that’s all that matters,” she said. From the air, homes looked more like little islands surrounded by flooded fields. Farmland was covered, streets descended into impassable pools of water, shopping centers were inundated with only roofs of cars peeking above the water. From the ground it was just as catastrophic. Drivers tried to navigate treacherous roads where the water lapped at the side or covered the asphalt in a running stream. Abandoned cars were pushed to the side of the road, lawn furniture and children’s toys floating

through the waters. The low pressure system moved into Texas, but the National Weather Service warned that there’s still danger of fresh floods, as swollen rivers drain toward the Gulf of Mexico. Rivers in the Baton Rouge area have started to fall, but still remained above flood stage setting record levels over the weekend, the National Weather Service said Monday. “The rivers and streams north of Interstate 12 have crested and have started to drop, while those south of the interstate continue to rise,” meteorologist Mike Efferson said. He said the Baton Rouge area could see up to a half-inch of rain Monday. The Comite River just east of Baton Rouge dropped nearly 2 feet by Monday from the 34-feet over the weekend. Flood stage is 20 feet. The Amite River at Denham Springs was at 43.5 feet Monday after reaching 46.2 feet. Flood stage is 29 feet. The federal government declared a major disaster, specifically in the parishes of Tangipahoa, St. Helena, East Baton Rouge and Livingston. More parishes could be added as assessments are done, and officials are advising residents to document all their damage. Gov. Edwards said President Barack Obama called him and said the people of southern Louisiana were in his thoughts and prayers. Edwards called on people to refrain from going out to “sightsee” even as the weather gets better. Six people have died, Devin George, the state registrar for vital records, said Monday. Authorities worked throughout Sunday to rescue people from cars stranded on a miles-long stretch of Interstate 12. The governor said on Twitter late in the day that everyone had been rescued. Hundreds of people were gathered at Celtic Media Centre in Baton Rouge, some coming in by bus and others by helicopter. Matthew and Rachel Fitzpatrick, from Brandon, Mississippi, hopped off one of the choppers with her grandparents. The couple had been visiting family in Baton Rouge when the flooding started. They found temporary refuge at Hebron Baptist Church but became trapped by floodwaters Saturday night.

BURNSVILLE — A memorial service for Jimmie Dale “Jim Bob” Wood Jr., 53, is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Tishomingo State Park. Mr. Wood died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Kellie Keltner of Burnsville; his mother, Jacquelyn Ramsey of Idaho; one son, Jesse Wood (Sarah) of Searcy, Ark.; two stepsons, Jacob Redmann of Jackson and Scott Redmann of Illinois; one daughter, Shelbie Lynn Wood of Burnsville; a sister, Misty; and nine grandchildren, Triston and Ethan Wood, Emon, Emily, Grayson, Callie, and Cash, and Jasmine, Jaiden, and Blake. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Dale Wood Sr., and his grandmother, Mildred Ramsey. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

His Hands and His Arms

It is difficult for us to imagine the understanding Moses had of God when he stood before the burning bush. Unlike us, who have the fullness of the revelation of God, Moses had no Bible. Not a single page of it had been written. The world and its understanding of the Creator was about to change, and Moses was the one God would use to reveal His nature to mankind. Listen to the words Moses heard. “I am the God of your father-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob ... I have seen the oppressing of My people who are in Egypt ... and have heard their cry... for I know their sorrow. So I have come down to deliver them”. (Ex. 3:6-8). Look at what God said-I am; I have seen; I have heard; I know; I have come down! Moses had known the oppression of the Egyptians, and perhaps, he had cried out to God. Now Jehovah announced to Him, I saw it all and I was listening. It was not long before Moses was to be used by God to change the world ever more. After they left Egypt, Moses described what had happened. “So the lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders” (Deut. 26:8). It was by His mighty hand and His outstretched arm that deliverance came. We must never overlook the fact that so often the hands and outstretched arms God uses are ours. ‘’Then the Lord spoke to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt... that they may become blood... Stretch out your hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up... Stretch out your hand toward heaven that there may be hail in all the land... Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts... Stretch out your hand that toward heaven, that there may be darkness... Stretch out your hand over the sea, that they waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots”’ (Ex. 7:19; 8:5; 9:22; 10:12, 21; 14:26) What does this have to do with us? The Almighty God is still in the world with his mighty hands and outstretched arms, but so often He uses our hands and arms to accomplish His purposes. Like Isaiah let us say, “Here am I Lord, send me.” Give your hands and your arms to Him. Let Him use you! Saul of Tarsus went through an incredibly thorough transformation in becoming the apostle Paul. It was more than just a name change; it was a wholesale change of everything about him. When others look at you, do they-see the humility of Jesus? The compassion of Jesus? The servant-heartedness of Jesus? The forgiving spirit of Jesus? The steadfastness of Jesus? The gentleness of Jesus? The obedience of Jesus? The patience of Jesus? The self-control of Jesus? The courage of Jesus? The friendliness of Jesus? The honesty of Jesus? The dependability of Jesus? The purity of Jesus? The zeal of Jesus? The peace of Jesus? The love of Jesus? Read your Bible. Welcome.

Dave spent 30 years serving our country in the U.S. Army. As a devoted wife and mother of four children, she kept very busy during her husband’s years of military service. In addition, she worked for the Federal Aviation Administration in the Human Resources Department. Dave and Ginger were stationed in Alaska in 1980 and stayed there either year-round or during the summers until 2015. Both Ginger and Dave loved the game of golf, and they have many great memories with their golfing friends in Bluewater Bay and across the United States. In addition to her husband Dave, she leaves behind her daughter, Sue and husband Patrick; a son, Rick, and wife Jan; a daughter, Cheryl; a son, Ron, and wife Susie. She also leaves eight grandchildren: Amy (husband Todd), Christopher, Benjamin, Grace (husband Isaac), Sydney (husband Manuel), Shannon, Spencer, Cory, and three great grandchildren, Landon, Luke and Ella Claire. Furthermore, she leaves her sisters, Anne Thomas and Jane Kaup, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
