Arena seeks funding for exhaust system BY STEVE BEAVERS sbeavers@dailycorinthian.com

The Crossroads Arena Board was updated on a needed exhaust system at the facility during its Wednesday meeting. Dan Taylor with Taylor Heating & Air Conditioning spoke to the board about potential costs in adding the system.

Plans for an exhaust system were part of the original proposal in the multipurpose building before being eliminated due to costs, according to Taylor. During the recent motocross and monster truck shows, doors had to be open in attempt to draw smoke out of the building.

“Pulling air out is not going to help with the exhausting of the building, said Taylor. Taylor said the board could be looking at a cost of around $50,000 to add the system. “We are looking at adding more motorized events next year and we can't do without an exhaust system, added

Genovese also discussed some long overdue upgrades the facility needs. She plans to discuss the requests with the tourism board. “For us to be efficient with ticket sales, we have to upgrade a system that is 13 years

Arena General Manager Tammy Genovese. Taylor suggested the board talk with county engineer Cook Coggin further on the matter. “All the problems we seem to have out here have come from things that were taken out of the original plan, said board member Sam Tull.
