INNOVATION ON THE GO

At a luncheon held in November 2022 at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Garden in Liberty Station, WTS San Diego and ITS SoCal hosted a Panel Discussion featuring the City of Chula Vista, the City of San Diego, SANDAG, and Caltrans. This panel discussion showcased our regional community’s latest innovations in intelligent transportation systems, data collection, and transportation technology deployment.

Specific topics included city data collection and policy development for Micro-mobilities, curbside management, and mobility hubs. This program also discussed our connected and automated vehicle (cav) future and the implementation of a range of technologies at a local United States-Mexico Port of Entry for positive impacts on border wait times.

Not only did attendees learn about the latest advancement and implementation of transportation technologies, but also insights on lessons learned and panelist recommendations for adopting trending technologies in their respective communities and local agencies.
