4/25-4/27: DCON (District Convention) 2025
Hi monsters! I cannot believe that we are reaching for the last month of the key club term of 24-25 year. Serving as a president I was able to reflect myself through our members and learn about keyclub more as a president. Now as I know that this will be my last president message of this term, I want to deliver the message that it was a pleasure to serve as the 24-25 PGKC President. Thank you to our lovely members, appointed boards, our executive boards of this year and I hope the best for our seniors.
24-25 pgkc president, signing off.

VICE PRESIDENT'S NOTE
Hey monsters! As this term comes to an end, I’d like to thank everyone who came to our meetings, went to our service events, and supported us during food fair! I hope I’ve helped you guys get your service hours and meet new people! I’ve really enjoyed my 4 years in Key Club and I highly encourage anyone thinking about running for Key Club board to just go for it. Thank you to JiSoo for being such a kind and hard working president. I can’t wait to see what she will do next year. Signing out!

It has been an honor being the Pleasant Grove Key Club’s Secretary. I am truly grateful for this experience because I have improved my leadership and communication during my term as secretary. Being on the executive board definitely has been an adventure with its highs and lows. Highs like our club getting club of the month and lows like speed running submissions to turn them in before the deadline. But what keeped my going was not disappointing the board because we are a team and felt obligated to do my part and reciprocated the support the board has given me. My favorite memories this year were the August and November DCM, these were my favorite because a majority of our board were able to attend which made them a fun bonding experience. As a junior and staying on the executive board heading into the next term, I have gained so much knowledge on running a club and working as a team. I am very excited for next term to improve and enhance this club further!
TREASURER’S NOTE TREASURER’S NOTE
hi guys! this term was really enjoyable and i gained many fun memories and experiences from key club. my most enjoyable memory was definitely frn, where members different divisions all gathered around to have fun at six flags and emphasize the key club spirit. as the treasurer, i was able to learn how impactful key club can be when it comes to fundraising and donating money to the pediatric trauma program. i enjoyed planning events and collaborating with the board to support our school club, and i will be able to utilize the skills i learned this year as i move on to college. thank you to everyone who supported our club through fundraising, drives, and volunteering!
Hey PGKC! Can you believe it’s almost the end of the term? It’s been an amazing experience and I’ve truly had so much fun serving as your Bulletin Editor for the 24-25 term. For instance, I really enjoyed being able to hang out and participate in fun activities with the people in Key Club during interclubs and division events (especially when being able to show off some Key Club spirit!) and although it’s bittersweet that the year is coming to an end, I am thrilled to be serving as your Secretary during the next term! As the next year comes, I hope you all give a very warm welcome to the newly elected Bulletin Editor for the 25-26 term, Savina Basquez! This past year has been an incredible experience with many ups—such as achieving Gold MRP—and downs—like being stressed trying to balance school and my responsibilities in Key Club—, and it’s been extremely rewarding seeing all the goals the club and myself have achieved! Finally, for the last time, I sincerely thank you for keeping up with my newsletters and being a contributing factor to the success PGKC <3 (we couldn’t do it without you!)

On Wednesday, February 26th and March 5th, Pleasant Grove Key Club held their executiveboard elections! During the first meeting, the club held the election process for the Secretary, Bulletin Editor, and Treasurer. I was one of the candidates in the elections, so I wasn’t permitted to participate in the election process during the first meeting. The election started and I was the first person to get called up. I presented the speech that I prepared, answered questions during the caucus, and also presented a special talent. This is the process which allcandidateshavetogothrough togetelectedfor an executive board position in my club. For my special talent, I performed a card trick! During the next week’s meeting, the club held elections for our PresidentandVicePresident. This time around, I was able to hearallthecandidates’speeches as well as ask them questions in order to inform my voting decision. Overall, my club elections ran very smoothly and it was exciting to preview who will be inchargeofthenextterm!

On Sunday, March 9th, Pleasant Grove Key Club’s executive and appointed board members all gathered to learn the routine for ourofficerdanceattherallyatour annual Awake-a-Thon! This has been an Awake-a-Thon tradition, andwehadmembersthatareon bothour appointed board andour school’s dance company, Soul Purpose, choreograph a routine for this event! Atthebeginningofthis practice, it was revealed that we would be performing the songs “Super Shy” by NewJeans and “Sticky” by Tyler, The Creator. When I arrived at the event, we started by learning the choreographyfor“SuperShy”and then moved on to“Sticky.”During the start of “Sticky” there is a moment where the executive board gathers in the middle toput a spotlight onus.Thiswasa fun and unexpected addition to the routine, and I am excited to perform atAwake-a-Thonlaterthis month, andI’msuretherestofthe board is too! All in all, although many of the people on our board aren’t dancers, Ithinkthatthiswas still a lot of fun and a great opportunityforteambuilding!
