In order to celebrate the character of a Toy Museum, the AKEI Toy Museum sets an investigation of expansions and compressions through the use of ellipses, continuous lines and datums. The different rotations that the ellipses have throughout the project were done to create specific spatial qualities for each event. Every space is designed to be its own pavilion

Vetter Mountain Astronomy Center

At the top of Vetter Mountain, a retreat center stands for astronomers and cosmos fanatics. The retreat is split into two sections: a private area for the astronomers and a public area for visitors. Both buildings are designed around the suns path and the northen night views in order to maximize the exposure to the stars. The retreat stands where two foundations were previously placed.

Interlocking Garden The Interlocking Garden
17
Within a forest of land elevations, two chapels emerge to worship the heavens. From a single to a triple height space, both chapels immerse the people into places where they can feel at ease and connect with their own religious entity. Just like The Interlocking Garden, both La Huella Chapel and The Held Chapel rise from two grids that come in contact and create the interlocking sequence.

Crenshaw Cultural District

Crenshaw, the heartbeat of the African American community, has become a cultural destination within the city of Los Angeles. With its rich historical background, Crenshaw resounds its cultural past with historic landmarks. The master plan creates a place where Crenshaw’s culture can be experienced through the celebration and rejoice of the community’s art and music, with open spaces that give way for local artists to display their work, along with local bars and restaurants that face these open spaces, and residential areas that incorporate the community. The site arose from a quarter note beat division that sets the tone for movement through the project. with gradient bars of density where the closer you get to Crenshaw the denser and active it gets, and the connection of the anchoring points through a path that dances across Crenshaw in order to connect both sides.

With new housing developments emerging in Los Angeles County, Cielo Residentials stands as a response for housing that celebrates communities. The three houses that sit in the site face the central courtyard. Giving opportunity for interaction between neighbors and friends. Cielo Residential bring color into sight in order for the residents to let their imagination run and set their own ways to interact.
