New born baby found dumped and left for dead Seven-day-old baby girl dumped in a ďŹ eld By Peter Luhanga A new born baby survived the night after being dumped in the bush and left for dead. The seven-day-old baby girl was dumped in a field in Richwood, across from the N7, opposite Dunoon. It was placed underneath
shrubs. A man walking past heard the baby crying and he ran to the Dunoon township to inform one of the community leaders, Nontando Dubase . Speaking to Isolabantu News, Dubase said that the man had informed her that there was a baby
crying in the bush, across the N7, near Richwood. Dubase rushed to the scene with a blanket and covered the baby before calling Milnerton Police. Police arrived at the scene and together with Dubase they took the baby to the Dunoon Community Health Centre. ~ continued on page 3
A new born baby that was dumped and left for dead was found alive and taken to the Dunoon Community Health Centre. The baby spent the whole night in the bush dressed in only a jersey and with socks on.
